I am Anthony Bollig's daughter - he is from Brighton, CO. His father was Peter Bollig from Liebenthal, KS, mother was Elizabeth Pfeifer. I have a feeling we all tie in to the Liebenthal Bolligs and then from Russia.

Re: Bollig in Michigan

There was a Daniel Bollig born 20 Jun 1903 in Lyon Co, MN, a son of Anton and Ella (Engesser) Bollig. This Daniel died in Jun 1966 with a last residence of Mount Clemens, MI. The name, birth state and age are correct for the Daniel Bollig you found in the 1930 census (the husband of Violet), but the 1930 census indicates that his parents were both born in MN -- while Anton and Ella were both born in WI. If you have found additional info about Daniel, please let me know.

I got some info on the Bolligs and Herrmans. When I get it together I'll sent it to you. I wish I had personal info, like pictures, what it was like back then or stories.

I haven't checked this in a long time, but glad I did. I'm Mike.. Chuck & Delores' grandson. I've heard a little about Fi and more about Ted, but was too young to know either. I don't have a lot of info, but did get ahold of a book here in Nebraska that tells about John Bollig coming from Russia and the village that they settled in in Kansas. I'd enjoy comparing notes sometime.

I thought maybe we could compare notes. I have reserched and found information to Conrado Baulig which is Antonio Bolligs Dad which is Jacobs Bolligs Dad. I which I had infor on how the Bolligs lived and what it was like in their time. Your posting was in 2005 so I hope you still check in once in awhile.

Looking for help! My aunt wrote before she passed away that my great, grandmother AnnaMaria Bollock of Kamenka married Jacob Eakes of Pfeiffer. Anna Maria was the daughter of John Bollock and Catherine Stadler, both of Kamenka. I know my aunt/s recollection and most everything was spelled phonetically, ie kamenga vs kamenka and Bollock is probably a variation of Bollig. I don't know what dates your John is from, i've estimated AnnaMaria's birth abt 1870 since her first child was born 1894, and John abt 1850? might you have a connection?

Franz Bollig - Dane Co., Wisconsin

Do you have any information on the family of Franz A. Bollig (s/o F. A. Bollig and Elizabeth) of Dane Co., Wisconsin? I believe he was born in Germany 11 Apr 1812 and came direct from Germany arriving 16 Oct 1854. He and his wife, Elizabeth Garlanburg, had six children (five sons and one daughter). In an article written in 1880 it states that two of his sons were living in Minnesota and one in Iowa. It also states that the whole family belonged to the German Catholic Church. I am hoping that one of these sons might be another Franz Bollig/Ballig who married Melvina Miller in Perry Co., Indiana, 11 Mar 1882. I would appreciate any information that anyone has.

Hi. I'm related to Jacob Bollig if his father is Jacob Bollig, Jr 1879-1933.
I'm one of Jacob Jr's great-grandsons through John Bollig.
I don't have any questions except to trace the Bolligs back into Germany, We've made it as far back as Peter Bollig b.1771 in Russia.
We have traced the Webers back to Johann Heinrich b. 1725 in Germany, though. We don't have his wifes name.
