I have a copy of Orenia Bollinger's THE BOLLINGER CONNECTION.
She did a very thorough job of recording the family tree, from the immigration
to PA, to NC, MO and beyond but a quick check of the index doesn't. ring any bells. I seems possible that your Illinois family came from southern MO where the Bollingers settled from Jan.1800. If that's just across the MS river the prospects seem better. There were lots of Barbara
Bollingers there. My mother's dad came to MS from there c. 1859. My own tree won't help but you may find someone who has updated Orenia's work. And be sure to look at the late censuses of Bollinger, Stoddard, Cape Gerardeau, and Jackson MO Counties for families of the right age to be your ancesters. Let me know if I can be of help. Thomas D Davis.

Bollinger Family Bible and old photos

My great-grandfather was Samuel Edwin Bollinger, who married Rachel Chanoweth. I recently scanned their family Bible and realized that our family had always thought my grandfather to be William Edward Bollinger. But clearly on the page of births it has William Edwin Bollinger. I believe that his parents should have known his proper middle name! All documents that I have on him just have a middle initial. I have scanned the Birth, Marriage, and Death pages from the bible to my tree: The Algeo & Bollinger tree. Please take the time to look & see if my grandfather as a part of your tree, then please change your info to reflect this new information. It is so easy for an incorrect fact to be added to tree after tree with the merging of family information.

I am in the process of scanning about 100+ old Bollinger/McClane photos into my tree (mostly McClane). These are from around the turn of the century. It is a huge process. If you have a Bollinger/McClane connection, please keep checking my tree for the newest uploads. I should be at this through the end of the year!
Thanks so much for your time and consideration,
Marianne Bollinger
mamagack@hotmail.com

Did you mean for me to contact you. My great great great grandfather was Hans Konrad Bollinger. His daughter Anna Maria was my great great grandmother. We have extensive ties in our family ancestry to the Mullers, Bollingers, Walters, and Spoerndlis. All well established families of the village...dating to the 1500s. Actually Bollinger family is more recent then the other two, having migrate to the village from neighboring Beringen. Like to share information with you

ROBERT BOLLINGER Our loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Robert C. Bollinger, "Bob," 65, of Henderson, passed away April 18, 2009, surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Henryetta, Okla., and later moved to Redondo, Calif., where he met the love of his life, Karen. He worked for Southern California Edison for 29 years and retired from Thousand Oaks, Calif., in 1999, and moved to Henderson so that he would be close to his son's family. Bob was an avid golfer, photographer and train enthusiast. He lived his life with courage and dignity! We will miss him greatly! Bob is survived by his adoring wife, Karen, of 44 years; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Jacquie Bollinger of Henderson; and his three grandchildren, Emma, Madison and Nathan, Bob's pride and joys! Services were private.
I am trying to find the children of Joseph and Mary Rogers Bollinger. Joseph from Bollinger Co., they married in Perry Co.,MO at father in laws home.
Mary died in St.Francois County 1901, Joseph in Stevens Co.,Washington in 1922. I believe Joseph's Pension Application lists Francis,Franklin or perhaps Gilbert Franklin (not where that file is right now) was b Nov 1866.

Does Gilbert's obit mention parents?
