I am looking for family of Clara Bolte, b. abt 1808. She came to the US in October, 1865 with her daughter Josephine (Josepha), son Johann H. (or F.), son-in-law Johann H. Reilage and Johann's mother Maria Reilage. They sailed from Bremmen, Germany.

The families settled in Cincinnati, but I found Clara living with her son-in-law in 1882 in Covington, KY.

I know from Josephine's death certificate that she was born in Osnabruck, Germany.

Any information would be appreciated!

I am looking for any extended family members of this part of the Bolte Family that would include the Schering family.

Henry and Elizabeth had, I believe, 6 children: Adolph Heinrich, Albert Otto, Edward Henry, Henry Conrade, Therese Sophia and Otto Peter George.

Elizabeth was my great aunt and a sister to my great grandfather, Edward Hoffenbroedel (Hoffenbrodel).

What I am specifically looking for is anyone who might possibly know there whereabouts of Elizabeth Hoffenbroedel's family bible. It would have contained information about her family of origin. According to the records that were submitted to LDS, information that was provided for submission by Gertrude Pfingsten in about 1984, contained a statement by her that the family history on the Hoffenbroedel family was derived from the "wife's family bible".

One of them may have been referring to George Bolte or Boltey b. July 1812 in Hesse, Hannover, Germany. I believe he arrived in Baltimore about 1854 by 1860 he was in West Virginia(then VA). in the 1870's he moved to Lincoln county, Kansas. Two sons went with him, a daughter and another son stayed in WV. The one that stayed had offspring that went to Londonderry, OH.

Anyone interested in this line I have quite a bit of info.

There was also a Bolte family in Bartholomew county, IN descended from a Henry Bolte b. 1795 . These Bolte's went thru Iowa and also ended up in Lincoln county, Kansas, they may be related, I am not sure. There was also a Johann Stephen Bolte in Bartholomew county, IN the same time, he and Henry were probably siblings.

I've been doing our Bolte family research for years.
Johann Heinrich Bolte (1862-1934) and his wife Anna Geshe Dorothee Cordes (1850-1931) had 12 children. (9 boys and 3 girls) 4 brothers immigrated to the US and from what I have found the others all stayed in Germany.

I only have a direct line of Johann's ancestors. I'm sure Johann had siblings as well as his father and grandfather.

All of the 12 children of Johann were born in Uenzen, Germany.

John Bolte was my great great grandfather. His son Frederick was my great grandfather and Francis was my grandfather.

John Bolte owned a store in Snyder, the newest building still stands. He is buried in St. Leo's cemetery.

In 1952 would this Alvina Bolte have been in her 40's? Born around 1910? I have some pictures of an Alvina Bolte, dated 1930. She looks to be in her early 20's and not married. I bought the photos years ago, I think before I had internet. Just rediscovered them. Any help will be appreciated.

I don't know much but the parents had 14 children. I beleive some of the kids were Irene, William and Esther. The 1st 7 were adopted out. The 2nd 7 kids were kept. I don't know the parents names. I know at least one of the parents have passed. My father John and his brother James were adopted by the Armbrust family (near Mt Pleasant, PA). I am looking for info on my aunts/uncles/grandparents.

If your Henry Bolte lived in Baltimore in the late 19th century, he may be connected to my line. I am descended from his brother Simon Bolte who arrived just after the Civil War. Henry owned a casket making company & married a woman named Virginia. However, my records indicate that they did not have any children. If anything, this may help by way of eliminating one of the possibilities.

My grandfather, Francis (Frank) Bolte, married Ethel Parker Nugent and had two biological daughters, Dorothy and Genevieve and adopted their half-sister, Rosemary Nugent. My mom, Genevieve, was born in 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Frank's father would have been Casper Bolte. Would these facts fit into your ancestry puzzle?

---Lorenz William August, son of Otto THIEMANN and
wife, Lena nee BOLTE, was born October 15, 1918, and
on October 27th, he was received into God's covenant
of grace through Holy Baptism. Having been thoroughly
instructed in the chief parts of Christian doctrine,
he renewed his baptismal vow in the rite of
confirmation on March 20, 1932. This vow he faithfully
kept unto his end.

Several months ago he suddenly took ill but a few
weeks his condition improved nicely. However, it was
only for a short duration and his condition again grew
worse from day to day. Confidently trusting in His
Savior he quietly fell asleep in Jesus September 28,
1936, at the age of 17 years, 11 months and 13 days.
His passing is mourned by his sorrowing parents, one
brother, Alfred, two sisters, Edna and Erma and many
other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, October
1, with Rev. H. KROENING in charge, assisted by J. E.
BARTELS and a girls quartet. Services were conducted
in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, interment followed in
St. John's Cemetery.

My grandfather, Frank Bolte, was also a meat cutter in Cincinnati, OH. I believe the butcher shop was Bolte Meats. He would have been born around 1900. Would that be the same family?

Looking for my mothers Bolt family in Virginia.Names include,Mable Bolt(her mother) married Estel Ratcliff(e).Mable born in 1906 died in 1936.Estel born in 1904 died in 1939.My mother was 3 and 6 when her parents passed and was sent to live with her aunt Eula untill the age of 13. Then sent to a farm home in Shoemaker Va.to work. She was there until 14.Then the courts sent her to a convent in Columbia South Carolina until she was 18.Eula Bolt, is said to have married a whorley.Essie Bolt,Effie Bolt(said to be twins)Neal Bolt,Bill Bolt.(possably William).I do not know the spouses of the others.A half sister not known.Names may or may not be spelled correct.The father and mother of these names are said to be John henry and Opal Bolt,My greatgrandparents. If any one has any info on the names or the Foster family in shoemaker(said to have no children) or the name of the convent I would be greatful.
