Searching for more info on the family of Eugenius & Ursula (Knotts) Bolyard. They were married in Preston Co abt 1859. Eugenius was born Sept 15, 1835 in Fellowsville, Preston Co, WV. He died Mar 20, 1910 in Osage City, Osage Co, KS. Ursula (Knotts) Bolyard was born Feb 24, 1841 in Fellowsville, Preston Co, WV. She is the daughter of Samuel and Catherine Knotts. Ursula died Nov 30, 1929 in Osage City, KS.
Eugenius (Eugene) and Ursula had 9 children: William, Charles, Exany, Ina, Mary, Florence, Dock, Oliver, and John. All children were born in WV with the exception of my g-grandfather John, who was born in Iowa in 1883. The family was in Reno, Preston County in 1880, and by 1883 were in Iowa. Other Bolyard family members were in Iowa. By the 1895 KS census, the family was in Osage Co, KS where they remained.
Eugenius Bolyard served in the Civil War with the 3rd Regiment, WV Cavalry (Union).
Any info on this family would greatly be appreciated.
