Classification: Query
Surnames: Bomar, Beasley
William Johnson Bomar haunts me again. After his parents and last two wives (whom I don't believe were his wives) disappeared from all the internet trees, they are appearing again. I am corresponding with a woman who has a picture of one of Joanna Beasley's children (Wife 3 according to some databases) with William Johnson Bomar written on the back as the child's father. I recently found an internet database showing a William Johnson Bomar with a DOB of 1801 in NC, but no DOD and no wife listed. As far as I know, no one has yet been able to establish the parentage of 1776 WJB, though early databases showed him as the son of Reuben, brother of Edward (father of 1801 WJB). To my knowledge, 1776 WJB does not appear on any wills or documents except for an 1842 Deed of Trust, where he is distributing property to his children by his second wife shortly after her death. A recent appearance on the internet databases is a DOB for Joanna Beasley of 1806, though that same database still couples her with 1776 WJB. Now that we have a more age appropriate WJB as a possible husband for Joanna Beasley, I hope someone will take the ball on this one. I am currently residing on the other side of the world, which makes it easy for me to pass the hot potato.
