Yes there are Bona's in the Uk since researching my fathers line I found that my ggrandmother was asMaria Ann Bona who was born in Carmarthenshire in 1858 her parents were Henry and Margaret Bona Henry born 1832 the son of Thomas and Ann Thomas was the son of David Bona and David the son of THomas born 1713 one of several children born to Bonaventure Coale one of the brothers was a local poet in Carmarthenshire and a copyist of Manuscripts why they went to Carmarthenshire is a mystery although it was a very busy shipping port.
