Mark Burford (that's me)
- Jacquelyn Davison Burford (my mother)
-- Bessie Mable Bonner Davison
--- James Henry Bonner (b.1881 in Georgia)
---- Henry T Bonner (b. abt. 1842 in Georgia) m. Caroline "Carrie" Jenkins Bonner (b. abt 1840)
----- Richard Bonner (b. abt. 1806-1811 in Georgia) m. Sarah (maiden unknown) (b. abt. 1811)
1870 Census Cannot find my Richard Bonner.
1860 I think my Richard is 49 married and living in Meriwether County, GA.
1850 I think my Richard is 44 married and living in Meriwether County, GA.
1840 I think my Richard is 30 to 40, appears to be married and living in Meriwether County, GA.
1830 I think my Richard is 20 to 30, appears to be married and living in Putnam County, GA. This would put him born between 1800 and 1810. (I think this about 1830 because I cannot find him anywhere else at the appropriate age.)
Also in 1830, recorded just above Richard Bonner is Thomas Bonner who appears to be between the ages of 50 and 60. This would have Thomas Bonner born between 1770 and 1780.
This would kind of match up with the Thomas I have found listed in an Abney family tree, b. 1773 in Sussex County, VA.
MY QUESTION: Do I have to settle for my assumption since they were next to each other on the same census in 1830 AND this Richard in 1830 is close in age to my Richard, that this is father (Thomas) and son (Richard)? OR is there anyway to prove this? Do you know if any documents or verified stories that would link my Richard to your Thomas M Bonner married to Nancy Pinkerton? Does this connect me back to the father of Thomas M, Sr. being Henry Richard of 1724 -- son of John of 1699(VA) -- son of John/1645(VA) -- son of Richard/1615 (Quinton, Gloucestrshire, England). The Abney family three goes back further through Anthony III, II, and the orginal Rev. Anthony Bonner.
One other question: Any ideas as to the maiden name of MY Richard Bonner's wife, Sarah?
