Bonneville in Pocomoke City, MD

I am looking for information about my great-grand mother Ethel Mowbray Bonneville. She was married to Roland Francis Payne. There has always been somewhat of a mystery with her that I would like to solve. She was born 10 Oct 1892 in Pocomoke City and died 09 August 1926. The mystery is how or why did she die? I have searched the death records for the state and it appears that she does not have a death record. I would really like to find out what happened.

Need help in tracking down Amelia Bonneville and her ancestry. All I know is that sometime between 1861-1864 she marries John Baptise Martin I'm a descendent of their son Hermidas(sometimes spelled Hermisdas or Harmidas)who marries Marie Louise Morisseau.

Also would appreciate any info on Amelia's husband's ancestry.

Hi I'm still pretty new at this whole ancestory.com world and could use a little help now that I'm stuck I'm looking for the Parents of Fern Ruth Mielke who married Robert Everette Bonneville both passed away on 03/25/1929 Their children include

Randal Kent Bonneville born on 10/05/1952
Kathryn Dianne Bonneville born 10/12/1950
Russell Bradly Bonneville born on 01/27/1955
Bobbi Beann Bonneville born on 06/17/1957
and Rodney Gene Bonneville still born the same day as his parent's passing 03/25/1929

Robert Bonneville's parents are Alfred Bonneville born and Beatrice Gehrke. I believe further down the line they are linked to the Qubec Bonneville family via Alfred's father Azarie Bonneville Born about 1878 in Quebec but I'm not sure.

If I'm stuck now I don't know how I'll make it to the top of my tree with my sanity! So if anyone has any information you would be saving me alot of trouble :)

Pat, Victoria and John. I'm sorry it's taken so long to find your posts. I have many of the same names as you all seem to, though I'm not certain where and if any of them connect. One of my great aunts was a Sansoucie. Wilfred and Helen, how many of them could there have been and my adoptive family name is Bisson..lol Hugs to you all and I'll try to get more on top of all this.

Not sure if this will help. Please advise.
Joseph Bonneville-1734 moved from Roussillon France to Quebec and married Madeleine Bisson in 1775 at Trois Riveres.
Son Jean Baptise-1780 married M. Chatel 1811
Jean Baptise JR. 1814 married G Dupis 1836
Damase abt 1840 married J Cascanette 1863 then moved to Waubaushene Ontario.
Their son Charles Bonneville 1876 married Josephine St. Amand in Ontario who are my grand parents.
The story I am checking out is that the Bonnevilles came from France to Quebec in the late 1700's or early 1800's and the large families split with some staying in Quebec with others moving to Ontario and the United States.

I have an Emelia Bonville (Morin as maiden) She was born in Canada Aug 13 1912 and Died in New London, Ct Dec 22 1981. She was Married to Dennis C Bonville who was born in 1903 and died Jun 11, 1974. Dennis was the brother of my husbands grandfather Napolean J Bonville. The all lived in Montville Connecticut at the time of death. The lived next door to each other and Dennis ran the Bonville Brothers Trucking Co.

I have Charles' birthdate as November 1825 and his parents' wedding date as 4 Feb 1823 in St Marie, (Beuce), Quebec, Canada. Charles and Victoria Shultz had five children -- Charles Joseph, Theresa, John, Victoria and Simon. Charles Joseph was my great grandfather.

For the benefit of other posters: 1. Charles Bonneville (b 1821? Ste. Marie Beauce, Quebec) married to Victoria Shoults 3-15-1851 St. Louis, Mo. , died 1875 in St. Louis, Mo > 2. Charles Bonneville (b 1802 Ste. Marie Beauce, Quebec) married to Therese Morisset 2-4-1823 Ste. Marie Beauce, Quebec.
I consider this information to be work in progress. Note 1. Charles birth is after his parents marriage. Other info shows his birth in 1823. I have also found some sources showing him immigrating in 1823.

I don't recall that Bonneville in my unclel's work. However, another Bonneville poster, Claude, has done extensive Bonneville research and says there are three separate lines of Bonneville's. I believe his research is directed toward finding a common ancestor to link them. If you are able to provide .more info as to parents, etc., there is a possibility I might have more information and your ancestor might fit in there somewhere. eMail me if you would like.

I would also be inteterested in wether my Charles Bonneville would be found in your information. He was born in 1821 somewhere in Canada and came to the US soon after when he was just a few years old. I just recently found his name in a St. Louis, Mo. cencus with his daughter (my ggrandmother) Theresa, and his wife and other children. I know nothing of his parents or siblings. I do have a vague story about an ancestor that started a ferry service across the St. Laurence River. I do not know much else on this family. Thank you

There is a family story that an ancestor owned a Ferry across the St. Laurence River, and that it was one of the first Ferry Crossings. Have you ever heard this story??

Greetings, I hope this thread is still good! I have a Joseph Marie Bonneville born to Antonia Marie Bonneville d.1934 b. ~1880. Antonia parents were Joseph Bonneville (from France) and Irma Becnel (from Louisiana, USA). The 1850 St. John The Baptist Parish Census (Louisiana) has Joseph as being age 38 and is listed as a store keeper. Does this fit? Thanks..Michael (kmichael41@AOL.COM)

I have since found that the Joseph Bonneville is the progenitor of my line. He came over from St. Claude, France. So, anyone with any ideas on researching long distance to St. Claude would be appreciated. There is also a little town in that area named Bonneville.

Yesterday I was at Christmas in Odessa in Odessa, Delaware. In the basement of the town library this certificate was in a frame on the wall - how it got to Odessa from Salisbury I don't know.

Wilfred Bonneville m. Helen (if this is the same pair) was my uncle and we lived nearby. He was called by his second name which was Eustace, and his signature was W.E., using initials only. They lived in Port Hope, Ontario. Another uncle, his brother, did an in depth genealogy so if I can be of any help, please get in touch.

My George Bonniwell married Tamer and there adopted daughter married Thomas Sumner and moved to Everett, WA. The book by George B. Bonniwell is very very good. Chapter 12 recounts the wagon train to the gold rush in 1850 which is in a diary I have in my possision written by George. Is this by chance your WA family?
