My grandfather, Salvatore Bono, and his cousin Joe(?) Pira, migrated to Smithtown NY in the early 1900s from Palermo, Sicily. They sent back to Italy for wives; my grandmother was Angela (or Angelina) Pira. Their children were: Jack (Giacamine?) Anthony, Peter, Angelo, Angela/Angelina (died as an infant during Swine Flu epidemic)

I'm just starting to look into my dad's family and was surprised to find this site. Hope my tiny bit of information is useful to someone.
