Noeline asked for information on George Harry bonsell who was my grandfather. would she like some more information. I think she is related to Gertrude Alice Hewitt born 1882, daughter of Francis hewitt. I haven't used this website before so don't know how to drive it yet.
Re: Harold Bonsell picture, early 1900's???

Hi,<br> I had an Uncle Harold Bonsell who was born in 1896. His daughters told me he spoke of a dog that he had when he was little but they didn't know the dog's name. He was from Wyoming. My uncle's dad, grandfather, and grandmother came from Pennsylvania. We are seeking information about the Bonsell family.

Harold Bonsell picture, early 1900's???

In searching through the many boxes of items from my grandmother I came across a postcard picture of a little boy and dog. Handwritten on the back "Harold Bonsell and Limppe(?) dog." It is a 1 cent postcard which dates it between 1898 and 1932. It is a sepia finish and the little boy is wearing knickers and a longer dress jacket (no collar) that has a loose fitting belt at the waist. His shirt appears to be buttoned with a stand-up collar. A guess would date this between 1900 and 1925. I don't think that I am related to this family. I believe the Bonsells may have been friends of my great-grandmother's family. My great-grandmother, Eva Weinhold Bishop, lived in the Bala Cynwyd area near Philadelphia, PA and Strasburg, Lancaster County, PA.
