Read your info on John Boon. It sure shoots the info I have here in Greenbrief Co., WV. Our John Boon came to Monroe Co, WV from 1790 to 1838. He married an Elizabeth Alford in Rockingham, VA in 1787 or 88. His son, John, Jr., married Nancy Carr in 1809 in Monroe Co., WV. Something sure is screwed up and it looks like it might be my records. There are pages from someone's family bible in Lewisburg, WV, Archives. They are claiming to go back to John Boon, nephew or half-nephew of Daniel Boon and that Ole Dan spent time in Monroe Co., VA and went on to Kentucky. John came back in 1774 from Kentucky. Back to where? Is this John Boon you spoke of a nephew or were there 2 different ones? There were 2 on PA records in that area they came from, York CO, PA.

Did John have a brother named Abraham? Records state he may not have lived his entire life in Monroe Co. It is a fact that our Boons were in NC first, before coming here. For some reason, there was confusion about who John's parents were. Father Isreal or John (Jonathan?). I'm really confused now. I go back to a Henry and on to John Anderson Boon, then to Amanda "Annie" Boone, my great-grandmother.
