I am just reading your post, and the interchange of information with Loretta McDonald. I found a bit of information in your message that is most curious, but doesn't seem to have any connection to Joseph Boone. My Burmood/Bormuth ancestors immigrated from Reichenbach, Hesse, Germany, in 1854 and settled in Huntsville, Schuyler County, Illinois, until homesteading in Nebraska in 1873. My fraternal grandmother--Mildred Cross Burmood--is the granddaughter of Joseph Boone and Anna Hodgson. The information I have found indicates Joseph Boone lived in Roscoe, Illinois, which is near Rockford. Huntsville is in West Central Illinois. This would be quite a distance in terms of travel in that era. So, I don't think there is any historic connection. But, considering the size of Huntsville, it is an interesting coincidence.

Have you found any additional information you were seeking?
