Thank you so much. I have looked for this woman for years. On all the census she does say she was born in Tennessee 1816.Their first son was born 1834 in Illinois. He said on his military papers that it was Saline County. But Saline County was Gallatin at that time. I do know that Jesse Grayson had a half brother who died in Gallatin County in 1855. His name was Joseph Grayson, born 1791 in Wilkes County, North Carolina. Margaret Boone Grayson named her first son William after Jesse's father. Her second son was James. So he could have been named after James Boone, possibily. Pat
