in the october 1999 issue of the compass(vol.3 issue 4) i read a condensed article by susan henderson concerning parents of "irish" john boone, born 1755 in york co.,pa. i am wondering what the author does with the fact that john states in his pension application that he is the nephew of daniel boone and at the age of 18 or 19 went with his uncle on an expidition to KY. i also am not sure john's father was israel boone, but remain curious about his statements and why he would make them if they were not true. i am a dec. of this john boone and i too would like to "set the record straight". any help would be appreciated.
