Can anyone help please? I am trying to trace my family but keep hitting brick walls. My grandfather was Walter Boothroyd and came from Clifton near Brighouse. At one time he played with the Brighouse and Rastrick band. I am informed from a marriage cert. that his father was called Job and listed as a cotton spinner. He is listed in the 1881 census as a scholar, living at 30 Briggate, Hipperholme cum Brighouse. His father was Joseph Boothroyd Born around 1842. Can anyone find me a link to go back further?
