The [New Westminster] Daily Columbian, 28 March 1891, page four:
“Wedding Bells
At the Methodist parsonage, by the Rev. E. Robson, on Thursday afternoon, Annie, daughter of Mr. James Goostrey, was united in the bonds of holy matrimony to Mr. J. F. Boothroyd, all of Surrey Centre. Miss Lydia Goostrey acted as bridesmaid, and Mr. G. A. Boothroyd was best man. Immediately after the wedding the happy couple left for Vancouver, where the honeymoon will be spent. Mr. and Mrs. Boothroyd were the recipients of many handsome presents, both useful and ornamental. With their many other friends, The Columbian joins in extending heartiest congratulations to the happy couple.”
