There are many Boothroyd's around Yorkshire area, but none of the families from the censuses have seemed a fit (ie the census Frank is still in UK when my Frank is in Canada).<br><br>Any Brits out there have an idea? So it is a sort of co-incidence. However it does strike me that Boothroyds are a very similar group of people. There is often a family resemblance even when the family connection is unprovable, and the vast majority of our ancestors were skilled craftsmen- I guess that is why we have so many university research Boothroyds these days.<br>Anyhow, if you are looking for a connection with your original pre-Roman Yorkshire heritage- and we do go back that far!<br> I am putting together some research that my late sister did.
