I am looking for anyone who has any information about this couple. They were married in Hereford in 1924.

Can you confirm that Eleanor had a child named Eric, who took the surname Booty after the marriage?

Don't know if you ever got any information on James Booty. I recently received some information. He was born 9/3/1925. The person who sent me the information did not have any other information on him. His parents are William T. Booty and Verna Maples.

I know quite a few booty's in Louisiana. Booty is not a cajun name. It came from England. However, in Lafayette, Louisiana the last name Boutte is cajun and pronounced the same way

Frederick was my grandfather, he died young in 1951 (I think) of Pnuemonia. He married my grandmother Marie Clarke around 1930. He divorced her when my dad was young and married a woman who my grandmother did not like. Fred was a Ham radio guy. Supposedly his new wife made him put his radio stuff in the attic where he supposedly got pnuemonia.
How he got pnuemonia, no one will ever know.
Samuel was his brother. I never met Sam.

Marjorie Booty was Fred and Sams sister. She married Carl Grover. The marriage lasted over 50 years. They always lived in the Chicagoland area. Marjorie was my great aunt. She died around 1985?

MY father was born Willis Clark Booty but was then adopted by Felix Marcus, my grandmas 4th husband.

Who were Fred, Sam and Marjories Parents?
What happened to Sam?

I found these postings just now on the net. I was in the British Library in London today for my family research and was reading Harold Booty's book. My 5xgreat aunt was Emily De Levante, who married Charles Booty in 1834. Her father Masahod was my 5xgreat grandfather and her brother William (not on the tree in HArold's book) my 4xg-grandfather. I wonder if you're connected to any of the De Levante descendants.

Harold Booty died last year after a long illness which meant he was inactive for some time before that. He deposited his research papers on the Suffolk Bootys with the Suffolk Record Office - Bury St. Edmunds branch, I think - and published three or four books in total, can supply more details if you require. There are several different Booty lines and his books do not cover all of them (e.g. mine are not covered), although his research notes are very useful.

Have just found this site and been amazed at the info you can find. I am a Suffolk Booty and starting out on my family tree. I have the Harold Booty book but its not easy to start in 1600 and work back!! I know David who sometimes posts on this site may be a relative and a Malcolm Ward said he had info relating to the book previously. My nana Vera Booty was mentioned in the book. We always tried to find out if another book was intended or happened. Is Harold Booty still alive?

BOOTY, aged 2, born Shoreditch with her father Charles BOOTY, aged 55, cook (Chelsea Pensioner), born Clerkenwell, mother Elizabeth aged 26 born St. Pancras, and brother Charles W. aged 10 months, born Shoreditch (Charles William born Sep Qr. 1870). All at Shoreditch, Middlesex [RG10/443, 51].

My Father was Leslie Philip Booty born approx 1905. think harold Booty was his cousin. Met him once is he still alive?

Saw your message about the Booty trust. I am a descendant of Sarah Booty and George Jepson. My information follows that Sarah's parents were disinherited and that the sisters' trust was eventually taken over (with 90 years of accumulated interest) by the British government following WWI. Is this inaccurate? How interesting. Where did you come across this info? Are you a descendant of this family as well? George and Sarah were my great-great grandparents. I am descended from their son George M Jepson. If you have any more info, I'd love for you to contact me at nascar1@xtn.net

OH MY does that help--but also confusion here. Have you seen the book:"Some Bootys and Their Forebears" by Harold Booty in 1976??? Printed in London, England---Your family is from the England Booty's-------there was/may be inheritance involved---still was in 1976, left to Sarah and Louisa in 1831 and still in trust. Sarah and Louisa were daughters of Miles and Louisa Booty. How can we contact one another directly by mail or email.
Joseph W. Booty was not from above family (although he had a son George)--his descendants still live in Pa. Miles and family living in McHenry co. Ill in 1850.

george t jepson married a sarah s booty in ill in 1846 in 1850 they were living in marquette county wi on indian lands dist 10,with his brother titus h jepson who married sarah,s sister louisa booty. they had 2 children leroy g 3y old and mathew t 1y old.titus and louisa had charles 2y old.leroy was taken by indians in 1853. sarah was 24 y old in 1850, louisa was 27.email me back if this helps

I have a missing Sarah Booty (born 1833/4 in Pa. child of John and Nancy) Family moved to Ill about 1840-1842, Family minus John and Sarah, returned to Pa by 1840. The name Jepson is very interesting---please reply by email. I have been trying to locate what happened to Sarah for many years.

am the grand daughter of a Booty.
My Great grandfather was A Frank Booty who married a Laura Roberts.we know very little of them
They had three children:Cecil(married joan),Nancy(spinster) and Joy(my grandmother;married Eric Parkin).
Joy was the last surviving and died yesterday.

John Cottrell BOOTY was born on 28 Feb 1830 in Whitechapel, St. Mary. He was a Labourer. 1870: Of Cook County, Illinois. 1880: aged 51, boiler maker, Lake, Cook County, Illinois [T9-0200/214D].

He was married to Charlotte in 1849 in Bethnal Green. She was born about 1827. 1880: aged 53, keeping house, with her husband and family, Illinois. Children of John Cottrell BOOTY and Charlotte were:

i. William BOOTY was born in 1851.
ii. James Charles BOOTY was born in 1853 in Bethnal Green.
iii. Charles BOOTY was born in 1861. 1880: aged 20, brakesman, with parents, Illinois.
iv. Charlotte BOOTY was born in 1861. 1880: aged 19, at home with parents, Illinois.
v. Frederick BOOTY was born in 1863. 1880: aged 16, herding cattle, with parents, Illinois.
vi. Samuel BOOTY was born in 1866. 1880: aged 14, at school, with parents, Illinois.
vii. Elizabeth (“Lizzie”) BOOTY was born in 1869. 1880: aged 11, at school, with parents, Illinois.

Hello everyone,
Does anyone knoe any information on my mother named Daisy Isobel Jordon Booty. Although i have just located her birth certificate which has her name down as Isabella Jordon Booty so this is confusing. I last saw her in 1957-59 when she lived in 103 Sommerville Road Chadwell Heath Romford England. I have a feeling is may have emergrated to New Zealand where i have since located my sister and brother. Can any shed some light on this please i would be most grateful thankyou June

My grt gdfather Preston P. Cutrer married Amanda Booty. She had a sister, Melissa, who married Prestons brother, Bragston. I have Amandas parents as Abner Carroll Booty and Mary Bowman. Abners parents are John K. Booty and Ellenor Price. I would like to find what siblings Abner had as he's the only one I have down for his family and where they originated from.

Some of the Booty family did wind up in LA. They came to LA from MS, from most likely NC to MS. One line that I know of went to GA from NC and from GA to TX. I am working on the line that wound up in LA. Have been working on the family for several years and have quite a bit of information. Do you have any other information on your grgrandfather other than his name was James, approximately when was he born. Offhand, I know of at least two James that I have in my file. I will help any way I can.

I thought that Nancy, Cecil and Joy BOOTY were the children of Ralph Cumming Stanbury BOOTY, who was born in 1885 and died in 1962. He was at one time a surveyor in Malaysia and Singapore, and was born in S. Africa, although his father was a Londoner. This line is directly related to my own, but the name Frank doesn't fit with what I have.

I am a Booty descendant from LA, now live in TX, but go back to LA to research. There are members of the Booty family all over LA. Will help any way I can. I have a lot of information on the family and am a member of a group we call "Booty Buddies" who research together.

As far as the Booty name is concerned. It has been spelled several different ways and some say the name is of French origin. Somewhere I have a note (if I remember correctly) saying what the name means. Will check and see if I can find it.

I don't know his dob but I know that his wife's name was Geraldine Adelle Booty and she died in 1986. She out lived him. He had a step-daughter named Darlene Anne Pillow. thats All I know.

I have a Sarah Booty born about 1826, who married George Jepson; and her sister married Titus Jepson. They lived in Illinois about 60 miles from Chicago. I don't know where the Booty sisters came from but I do have the descendants of George and Sarah. I would greatly appreciate any connection to the Booty sisters. Do you think this could be your Sarah?
