My earliest traceable wife's ancestor is via a Family Search transcription of Felipe Borbon's marriage to Gabina Aguirre in 1845 at Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe in Guadalajara. Felipe's parents are Miguel Borbon and Simona Tabuada per the record. Gabina, a widow, emigrated to San Francisco in 1878. One grandson was executed in an attempt to connect with Mexican royalists and the family discouraged any effort to trace their descent for fear that the democratic government might still be looking for them. I believe that Felipe and his parents might be peninsulares.

Hello Rene:
It is amazing what you had found!, if you would like to share, I love to see pictures or documents you have. I am very interesting to know from where our past family comes from. How come they ended up in Mexico?
Unfortunately I do not have so many pictures. I just have one from my grand parents. I will try to investigate more with my father’s family.
If you do not mind can you tell me your grandfather’s name? I would like to share this with my father :)
Have a wonderful day and thanks for answering my e-mail :)
Hello Edith:

It appears we are second or third cousins. Six weeks ago I made a tremendous breakthrough in the Borbon family research via Mexican parish records from Sonora. I have an image of the birth record of one on Clemente's sons which lists his parents and all of his grandparents. The document is dated from about 1895. These grandparents led me two additional generations further back in time to about 1810.

I am happy to share the images and photos of this family in my possession. I'd like gather any family photos you might have also. My goal is to eventually find out te family linkages as far back as possible like my mother's family.

Hello Rene,
I am not sure if you still look into this page, but I just started with my research about my last name "Borbon".
I think we are related. My great gran father was "Clemente Borbon" and my great grand mother was Rosenda Enriquez. My grand father was Clemente Borbon Jr. and he was married to Esther Flores Enriquez. I still do not have so much information about them since I just stared to talk about this with my father (who was their son). However, I know they came from Sonora, Mexico and they lived in California. Then they moved to Mexicali, BC in where they lived the rest of their lives. I do not know if you have more data to share since last e-mail was a long ago. I hope you can answer me :)

Hello Claudia,

I'm on active military duty now -- but when I get out in November - I'm ordering the microfilm for the births, baptisms, and marriages for the town Alamos, Sonora - from the LDS Church. My great grandather Clemente Borbon (1876-1953) came from there. Clemente married Rosenta Enriquez and moved to Southern California in the early 20th century. I've been working on this for years and have been unable to locate any other records - my only option is the Mexcian Parish records as mentioned.

If you have any other information or photos to share - please do. I have some photos and documents I can send you electronically.

Hi my name is Claudia Ramirez Borbon and I live in California but my family is from Autlan, Jalisco Meixco. I have very interested in finding out how many more Borbon's are out there. My grandfather has been trying to make his family tree for many years, his name is Carlos Borbon Alvarez and swears we are directly related to the Borbon's from Spain. I'm going to find out if we are related to Borbon's from Sonora. Is anyone related to me?

Welcome to the debut of the Borbon surname, family message board. I asked for this message board to be established in order to bring together people with information on the Borbon family, which originated in France, Spain, and Mexico. Many of the Borbon family now live throughout the United States. My aim is to try and put together a family tree linking the various Borbon families throughout the world from the New World to the Old World. If you have information on the family or related families, please post here. Thanks, Merci, Gracias. -Rene C. Borbon, Miami, Florida
