Hello Carly,
I saw today your query from yesterday regarding "Yves Bordeleau" for which you arent't sure of the name spelling. In the following web page:
http://www.genweb.ca/nfdata/093/parish/sgb/marriage/sp_rc_m8...in his marriage document from Feb 20, 1868, he is listed as "Yves Bourdoulon" from France. This spelling looks OK to me even though you mention having seen it different. However, I can assure you from my extensive database on the Bordeleau family that he is definitely NOT a Bordeleau. In fact, early on the 19th Century in France, there are no records of any Bordeleau family. This surname only survived here in Canada, and may now be found in may other countries, with the U.S. having the largest number outside of Canada.
Best of luck in your research of ancestors!
Claude Bordeleau
