As you may know, most of the Bordelon information comes from a book by William Gremillion, Commentaries on Some Avoyelles Families.

That book acknowledes Charles' birt and says no further information.

The Grandparents of william James Bordelon were Avit Leandre and Ada Rabalais Bordelon, born in Avoyelles Parish,Louisiana. Their lineage goes back to Gabriel Laurent Bordelon (1696 - 1737), who is reported to be the first Bordelon in Louisiana.

This couple gave birth to twins, Zenon and Charles, Born Sept 29 1782, they were both baptised Mar 29 1783. I find information on Zenon but unable to find any information on Charles. Looking for marriage and/or death records for Charles.

My husband and I have found 2 books, Some Early Families of Avoyelles Parish, LA by William Nelson Gremillion, vol. I & II, ordered from Claitor's Pub. Division in Baton Rouge to have a comprehensive compilation of the Bordelon family, beginning with Gabriel Laurent, the first Bordelon born in LA.

Forest Bordelon, son of Oscar Bordelon & Louise Rabalais married Isma Lemoine (born 1872). She was daughter of Zeon & Delphine Bordelon

There is also a Forest Bordelon who was the son of Valery Bordelon III. Valery was born on 5/5/1829 & married Eugenie Clemence Plache (born c1839) on 4/3/1856.

Hi! I'm looking for Oscar Bordelon of Hamburg, LA. He was married to Celestine Couvillion Jan. 1884. He died before his son Ulysses O. Bordelon was born on Aug 2, 1885. Celestine re-married to Leonard Gremillion. Ulysses's son was Oscar P. Bordelon Sr. (my father). Info on my great-grandfather Oscar is very vague I guess this is MY "brick wall."

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

1st Sgt. Michael J. Bordelon, 37, of Morgan City, La., died May 10 at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas, from injuries sustained April 23 in Mosul, Iraq, when a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near his Stryker military vehicle. Bordelon was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team), Fort Lewis, Wash.

Their marriage date is March 27, 1894 in Avoyelles Parish. Perhaps the catholic marriage record can tell you her parents name. I could find nothing on her before the marriage, which is odd.

My grandmother's father was Henri E. (Edgar) Bordelon. He married Blanche A. Moreau in 1891. Need information on his father and mother. Listed on his death certificate is father: Edmond Bordelon and mother Eleanore Mayeux. Can find info on both names, but can't connect them to Henri E. (Edgar). Don't know if I have the wrong two parents, or if he was adopted etc. Would greatly appreciate any information. Thank you, Debbie

Cilfton was married to Emma Jusslein. The 1900 Census shows this with 2 children, Percy & Esnar. I have not found them in the Census after that time.

I have his name speller Pelicier, according to the burial records at St. Peter's in Bordelonville.
I have all the info on Crescent P. Bordelon and his wife, Paulina Couvillon. Of course I have the ancestors back s far as Jean Baptiste Thomas Bordelon.

Hector Bordelon was married twice. His first wife, Eloise Bordelon, died the year after they were married. Then later that year, Hector remarried to Melina Bordelon on December 27, 1899 at Sacred Heart in Moreauville. The 1900 Census shows them living next door to Hector's brother, Ulger Pavy Bordelon. I have not been able to find them after that Census. Hector was Born in 1877. If this is the Hector you are loking for, let me know. I'll be able to provide you with lots of info.

Thanks. I could not find Osval & Sydonia in the 1900 census. I did find them in the 1910 & 1920 Census in Marksville.
In the 1920 Census it shows Hector as being 6 years old. The birth years for the first 6 children did not match in the 2 census.
I looked through the 1930 Marksville Census, but did not see the family.
I do not have anything on Emile & Hazel Guillot or their daughter, Ann.

I'm searching for any information on an Inez Bordelon. I'm not even sure if I have the last name correct, but I'm going off the information I have. She was probably born In Louisiana and probably died there as well. Was maybe born arond 1880 (+ or -). She married Alcee Dozier and they had at least 1 daughter named Cora May. Cora married Julius Junaeu. Please let me know if you have any information.

I think that would make our grandfathers cousins. My grandfather is Julius Juneau, the son of Valsan Juneau, son of Severin Juneau.

I have found a lot of Narcille Dupont's family, well, on her father's side at least. She is the daughter of Onezieme Dupont (1815-?) and Aspaise Juneau (1808-1850). Onezieme's parents are Charles Dupont and Marie Rose Nucere. Aspaise's parents are Joseph Juneau and Constance Larche. If there's some way I can send the tree I have for her to you let me know and I will do so. Or if I can be of any more help, please let me know.

Looking for any info regarding Edison Joseph Bordelon, Sr, son of Abel Bordelon and ? Laborde. Was married to Elda Daigrepont and had a son Edison Jr.

I've found an Edison Joseph Bordelon Sr and Jr, but the info doesn't match up, and the son is listed as deceased in 1941, which is not the case for the one I'm looking for.

Edison Jr had brothers Owen Bordelon, Gayle Bordelon, and Walter Laborde (half brother).

Any info would get me past a big roadblock.

I would like to trace William James to see if and how I am related to him. I found him, age 9, living with his parents in San Antonio, Bexar Co. TX at the 1930 census. His parents were Wiliam James Bordelon Sr. and Carmen Josephine Pereira (Per TX Birth Records), and they had two other children: Raymond Francis Bordelon b. 21 Feb 1928, Bexar Co. TX and Robert Theodore Bordelon b. 25 Juned 1938, Bexar Co. TX.

William J. SR. was 33 yrs old at the 1930 census and was a cashier for a life insurance co. He was b. in LA

In 1920, William J. SR. was living in Hot Wells, Bexar Co. TX with wife Carmen J. and possibly a brother names Allen.

Who were William J. SR's parents??
