I too am a Border, my maternial g mother was one of twins that survived, she lost her brother at an early age, don't have the date. My g mother was Mamie Border who married Fred Herbold, there again don't have dates. I can only remember my g mother as having one other brother his name was George. My g mother was a pioneer that traveled in a covered wagon, the family has exchanged stories relating to my grandparents traveling to NY (Batavia) where my mother was born and my g father worked on the Holland Tunnel, he was a steam engine engineer. They then traveled to New Mexico and finally settled in Bethlehem PA.
I know that they are all buried in Bethlehem, I believe in St Anns cemetary, possibly some are buried in a cemetary on Fountain Hill.
I am just beginning my family tree and have not really gotten things organized too well. I am relying on memory and what little information I can get from my 87 year old mother.
I doubt that we are related, but it is refreshing to find a familiar name on the LONG list of names.
Any info you may have if you think we are connected will be helpful.
you can contact me at MieMieC@aol.com.
thanks, Betty
