Classification: Birth
Surnames: Borders
I have the parents of Joseph D Borders 1842 KY as John 1805 SC & Rachel 1806 TN Borders. Their children were listed as Peter 1827 TN, John 1835 TN, James 1839 TN, Jackson 1840 TN, & David 1846 TN. David I believe was Joseph David, which would make him a grandson of Peter Borders 1756 PA, whose male Y-chromosome has been identified. If a male descendant of Joseph D has that same Y-chromosome, then we will have DNA Proof of the relationship. One such descendant has been tested, and he does not match Peter, but we need another to be tested to be sure that a non-Borders male did or did not get too friendly with a Borders wife. Contact me at texborders@aol.com.
