I DO NOT know she was a Cherokee [of any degree]. In fact, I have never seen evidence. I don't see her in any of the rolls getting compensation for the early land cessions. There was one in 1830 that a lot of the Old Settlers got land. It seems to me some of the Borens would have been on that if they were.
I think that I asked the question in one of these postings? Someone else had claimed the fact and I have never seen proof of this in any of the sources I have checked. Would love to see the proof myself. I have often wondered if the family tradition is true merely because of the NC, and TN connecitons. But that is the flimsies of conjectures.
