It is interesting to see the names in your family. My family was from James and Nancy Boren. Nancy was born in ca 1754 in Virginia. My ancestor, their son William was born in SC in 1787. They were in the Warren county Kentucky area at the turn of the 1800s. William Boren was living there when he married in Sumner Co, TN Julia Ann Dye. These counties are right on the boarder of Tn/Ky. The family moved to AR where James died in ca. 1826. Nancy and most of her children went to the Mexico, later to be the Republic of Texas. William had a brother Elijah born in ca 1798. One of William's grandsons Alexander had a son born in about 1877 named Alonzo. This may all be unredlated. It may be that your ancestors came from one of James's brothers.

It is estimated that his famther John was born about 1726 and died around 1814. James' father left a will in Sumner Co, Tn and the folowing children were named: James (b. 1750 NC); William (b. ca 1766 Rowan Co., NC), John (b. 1770 SC), Matthew (b. 1774 SC), Agnes (b. 1777 SC); Margaret (b. 1779 SC), Tarlton (b. 1783 SC), Catherine (b. 1785).
