Nancy Boren - Native American ??

Surnames: Boren, Maddox, Thrash, Apple, Carter
The story has been passed down that Nancy Boren was Native American. She headed to TX with her family in 1828-1830's when her husband died on the trek in Hempstead County, Ark in 1827. She joined Oliver Williams & Stephen F. Austin's colony in TX in 1834. Do you have any knowledge of Nancy's native american heritage?
