BORING – George F. “Pat,” 92, Salix, passed away Nov. 5, 2008, at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 12, 1916, in Mundys Corner, grandson of the late Lawrence and Hulda (Dearmin) Boring; son of the late Margaret Mae Amigh. Preceded in death by first wife, Dorothy L. (Yost); stepfather, Lou Amigh; brothers, Harry “Bus” Amigh and Abe Amigh; and sisters, Pearl “Sis” Yarina and Mary Jane Alexander. Survived by wife, the former Sally Ream; George’s children, Patricia A. Ellenberger, Mundys Corner, and Kenneth W. (Gail) Boring, Michigan; Sally’s children, David Ream, Mahaffey, and Cindy Horrell, Salix; eight grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. Brother of Dorothy Amigh, Irene Bailey, Ruth Alexander, Elsie Alexander, James Amigh, Paul Amigh, David “Butch” Amigh, Cathy Grove and Gail Walker, and numerous nieces and nephews. Retired mechanic from Bethlehem Mines Corp. with 44 years of service. Member UMWA. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Drew Walther officiating. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
