Hi Pamela,

I believe my mom is your first cousin...My grandmother was Helen Boris, she also had a brother named George, and 3 sisters named Katherine, Mary and Anne, and all grew up in CT, there is still some family there. My mom tells me stories of her cousin Georgeanne, cause they were born a month apart. If you can please email me at krilee23@aol.com.

My Dad's name was George Emanuel Boris, he was the son of George Emanuel Boris who came from Greece in the early 1900's and Alma Boris, I don't know her surname or anthing else about her. George's sisters are Kathrine, Mary, Anne and Helen. My Dad was born in the USA cira 1921. They resided in Ct. through out their childhoods as far as I know . Have attached the 1920 census from New Haven where all but my father appears. They are all in the 1930 census. By the time George was born, his father was gone. I am the daughter of a second marriage, I have a sister Judith Ann. I was told my father had 2 childern from his first marriage to Plilomena Tucci; Patrica and George. With reseach I have found my Grandfathers Professional directory listings.
If anyone can fill in any blanks, it would be appreciated. I would love to hear from any of his family. I don't know much about him.

Trying to find my Mom's father named: John Boris.
He was chased out of Boston by my great grandfather after he inpregnated my deceased grandma. My mom is currently 81, and has felt (illigit, a black sheep) He was born in Lithiuania or Russia. He would have been born Aproximately 1888-1898. My mom would be thrilled to know more.

I have done much research on this, my mothers maiden name was Boris. It is of Carpatho Rusyn or Ruthenian nationality.

The Department of Defense announced today the death of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. They died Nov. 12 in Bermel, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when the vehicle they were in was struck by an improvised explosive device. They were assigned to 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, Schweinfurt, Germany.

Killed were:

Capt. David A. Boris, 30, of Pennsylvania.

Searching for BORIS/BORRIS family in Texas...

I am specifically looking for family of Mary E. Borris, born on 15 Aug 1878, reportedly in Texas. (There are Borris' from Erath County, TX from that period, but I do not know if they are related or not.)

Sometime soon after 1903, she married Frank Bacak (b. 3 Dec 1861 in Trojanovice, Moravia) in Texas (likely Fayette or Dallas County). They had 5 children together: Vlasta, Albert, Anna, Lewis and Edward Bacak. Moving from Dallas (by that time) to West, McLennan County, Texas, Mary died on 17 Feb 1937, and was buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, West, Texas. Her husband (Frank Bacak) was buried with her, as he died 3 years later.

The surviving Bacak family knows nothing of her parents
or other family. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

HI; I can only tell you the little I know. My childrens grandfather was Lapaz Timothy Boris he was born in Trinidad about 1889 d. 1992. HE came to the USA in about 1900, he said he had brothers and sisters there but no contact was kept up. He married a lady from Louisiana and they had 1 child.
