Your line back in time from Thomas Payton would be the same as my line and that is Jacob Born, and then John Born who along with brothers Isom and Jonas came to USA from Germany (city unknown) Johns was married to Mary (surname unknown). In prior msg I stated that Thomas Payton was not a policeman in Atlanta, but you were talking about Preston Montgomery being a policeman. I remember as a child that it was mentioned that Preston was a policeman in Atlanta.
