For such an unusual name, I have recently found many new faces. And curiosity has brought me to wonder if we are family or not. I would love to hear from other "Borners" and see if it is true. A family can be as small as it needs to be, or as broad as allowed... please contact me if you too are curious.

Hello- My name is Christina and I am in the process of trying to find info about my grandmother. Her born name(as far as I know) was Dina Monika Borner. She was born April 11, 1928 (passport says sweden, I belive from stories germany, Austria). I do not have her parents names in front of me but can find out. She had a sister named Ingrid. She had said she lost all of her family in 1 day (a attack) and she surrived . I wonder if she may have even been jewish but in that time would not want to say. She told me she grew up in Austria and from it sounded like she was not poor. Anything you may know I would love to hear. Maybe we are related. Thanks for your time-Christina

I was convinced that Erhardt was born in Germany based on 1985 data provided to my father complete with a 15 page family tree. But, I read a posting yesterday that said he was born in Virginia in about 1731. Married Anna also of Virginia. So, you may be able to solve who first arrived from Germany. Also, was Jacob Ernhart's son or brother? I would like to hear if you have found out anything since your posting. Bruce

Sorry Allen, after Abraham Burner Jr. the information I have, I received from the internet, but most of my informants and other sources belive that Jacob and Earhart Burner were related. I belive it is probable, after all they lived in the same colony only separated by the Masenutten? mountains and during the same century. I have not made a copy of it but I have seen referrences to Jacob Sr, Jacob Jr, and Earhart with other burners mentioned in documents for the civil war. I wish somebody could break through on the find of invaluable information on our background..................ED

Hi Allen, I wish very much luck in your searching. I do know that there has been quite a few before you. Myself I live in retirement in Idaho and I don't have the means to travel too far or too much since my wife is on oxygen 24 hours a day and has been for 10 years. She is doing very well but its the problem of making oxygen arrangements when traveling

In regards to Jacob Burner and Erhardt Burner I have know doubt that they are probably related. Possibly the same father, maybe a close cousin, who knows? Thats the problem! They must be related since their originating background is so secreative.

Besides searching in Shenandoah, Va, there is Pennsylvania, possibly Holland, and Germany I believe, without considering more. Good Luck in your search Allen and good luck to all the Burner clan that are searching...........Ed

My ggg-aunt, Emily Sied (b March 20, 1830 in Michigan) married Charles Borner. I believe they lived in North or South Carolina. Can anyone help me with more info about either of them or their children? Thanks.

ed, i live here in woodstock, va and was wondering if my local court house, library, etc. here in shenandoah co has been exhausted in the search for ancestry general findings. will be doing some legwork in the coming weeks, locally. i also have a large compilation of documents, and a pedigree given to me by my grandfather eugene lee burner. He resides in cass, wv in pocohontas county. it was compiled by may blackhurst lee, another decendant of erhardt, in 1993, entitled 'A Blackhurst came to Burner-land: Pocohontas County, WV A True Family History'. and have an approximimate location of the old erhardt burner homestead in fort valley, va (across the mountain). and a nearby route number and described geographical area where several gravestones are supposed to be located. keep me posted and i will relay any findings your way. i'd just like to crack "the father of erhardt mystery" and stretch our family tree one more person back ;)

allen eugene burner

could this be the father or at least the uncle or relative or airhardt/earhart burner who lived in shenandoah county during 1775 to 1790s. he is the last link in my family tree that my family holds. any information you have would be greatly appreciated. i have limited history about airhart. maybe we could compare notes.
may God richly bless
