Hello Sadie and Borras cousins,
I'm posting this under two threads.
Sorry I didn't find this before, I just found it in ancestry.com.
My name is Elizabeth Morales (Liz) and I am the daughter of Ana Borras, (Manolin's sister who lives in California).
I guess I have lots of cousins I haven't met. The only one I remember is Robert when I was a teenager.

I met Manolin on a couple of occasions when my mother came to visit me in New York. He came over and we went to dinner. That was in 1991.

My nephew Alex who works for a bail bond company did a search for him and found something on the New Jersey Office of Public Guardian. After a few months of calling them, I finally received a call back from his case worker and learned that Manolin is alive and living in a nursing home - Bergen Regional Medical Center, 230 East Ridgewood Avenue, Paramus, New Jersey 07652. He was found wandering the streets in Bergen County (which is pretty far from where he last lived), picked up by the Police and brought to the hospital in the psychiatric unit. He was there because he couldn't remember names etc and couldn't be moved to a nursing home because no one could sign him in until the state of NJ took over guardianship. He has been in the nursing home since 2005. His condition has been dementia since 1999 which was kind of early. The dementia has progressed throughout the years and he is currently not talking much, eating soft foods. He is 83.
I plan to go visit him. He probably won't recognize me as I have changed throughout the years plus the dementia won't help any. I live in CT about 2 hours drive into NJ.
