My name is Silvana Bosio. I live in Las Rosas, Santa Fe, Argentina. My grandfather, Chiaffredo Bosio was born in Bagnolo, Piedmont and came to Argentina in 1892. I think his mother´s surname was Ferrero. I would like to know if there are any relatives out there to have contact with.
One of my cousins went to Bagnolo but people in the Council refused to give her any information about the Bosios there.

Soy bisnieto de armando Bossio Balbuena, y leyendo la lista… la esposa de mi tío Antonio bossio aparece como fallecida cuando ella actualmente esta viva… y mi tia teresa bossio salas ya esta casada con el Sr. Sergio peñafiel chichizola, haber si podrían actualizar eso...

Estoy en la búsqueda del lugar de nacimiento de mi bisabuelo, él se llamó Nicolas ó Nicolini Nicolini, sus padres fuerón Marcos Nicolini y Benedetta Chapasa ó Chapaza ó Ciapassa ó Ciapare ú otro apellido similar; se que él vino al Perú aproximadamente en 1850, en Mayo de 1859 se casó con Clorinda Dañino de la Puente, en su expediente matrimonial se lee que él declaró que nació en Provincia de Genova, Reyno de Cerdeña, el problema es identificar el nombre de su pueblo, ya que en hay varios nombres como Sasa, Saza, Sahara y Sara; también se puede leer que para la fecha de su matrimonio su madre ya estaba muerta.
A quien pueda ayudarme, espero sus informaciones y les agradezco de modo anticipado por las mismas.

Hi Elena, I live in California. My grandmother Catterina Bosio Sassoe, along with her husband and family, immigrated to Territorial Arizona circa 1896, then came to Los Angeles in 1918. She lived to be 91.

Dear Eleanor, Agostina Giuseppa Esperen or Espener was an adopted child. The only thing I know is that she came from Torino, Italy, adopted by a family in Colleretto Castelnuovo, Italy. I do not know if Esperen was her birth name or her adopted name.
I would love to know whatever you know about your Mother's maiden name. Angela

I must apologize first and foremost, for not answering your message earlier. I posted this message to help my cousin, who is disabled and no longer has Internet capabilities. But certainly, I will pursue this for her, and help in any way I can.
My cousin, who is Sandra Bosio, was the daughter of Hugo Joseph Bosio who was from Italy, and Francis Gonciasz who was of Polish Ancestory. Hugo's parents were Stefan (Steven) Bosio and Tereasa Cogliati.
When Hugo and Francis met, and married, it was in Torrington, CT. So I am sure we have a match here, it is just getting more specifics. And as you email me, I can call Sandra on the phone to get the facts. I would greatly appreciate your return reply, although you may be upset with me for the delay. Again, I apologize for that, but at the time, I thought I could forward the information when I was trying to help. Nonetheless, I will still try to help as a go-between. So please bare with me if we can't respond over night or something. But certainly, I will get back to you ASAP, when Sandra relays her message, okay?

Dear Eleanor, Do you know your maternal grandfather's name? and where he came from? My Agostina Giuseppa Espener was born in 1853, she was adopted from the town of Torino, Italy. She lived to be 60 yrs old, upon her death she was given a papal blessing, so must have been very involved in her Church. Angela

Hello, I am trying to help my cousin with her roots. Does anyone out there know of the Bosio's that came from Italy? Her father was Hugo Joseph Bosio b:Aug. 1911 and d: July 1975. Son of Stefano (Steve or Steven) Bosio and Teresa Cogliati. They lived in Torrington, Litchfield County, Connecticut. Any information would be greatly appreciated. We are trying to find the names of Hugo's brothers and/ or any other relations he may have had, and where in the US they may have gone. Thanks.

My great great grandmother (tatara abuela) was Catterina Bosio. She was born in the comune if Barge, Cuneo (Piemonte), in 1823. She married to Chiaffredo Giuliano (1817). They had a son, Giovanni Battista, born in 1851. They came to Argentina after 1879. Anyone related with these families? Best regards, Mara.-

dear lisa , there are some cogliati's in my uncles family who, lived in torringtin ct then moved to ny . pauline cogliati married joseph zecchin and moved back to winsted ct ,there are still some living cogliati's in ny . i can do a look up in torrington if you wish, for the bosio's. let me know what you need for info.

My parents were friends Armando Bosio and Tom Davies. From what I understand they were both stationed at Hamilton AFB in Ca. I have pictures of both men. Would like to contact them for my Mom, she is 76 now and would love to hear from old friends and run through memories.

hi, my great grand father's name was Giovani Bosio and he came to Uruguay with his wife who was Maria Aicardi, we think he was worn arround 1860 or 1855, he also was from a place near Torino, Piamonte, Alessandria,Italy. He traveled from Genova to Uruguay, but we also think that the boat made a sop in Brazil, maybe we can share more information, anf Who knows!!.
I search already in Montevideo Uruguay for his death certificate but i don't have more information. Giovanni's son is my great grand father and he died in my country Paraguay,
I'm doind this reseach for 1 year and i'm a little depress.

Hi Angela, Ihave discovered Espeners in Yorkshire from 1709, and in Loncolnshire from 1655. there is also a question mark on the name Spener. I have come across one
Gorge Spener at his son's christening in l573, aain in yorkshire. It could be that was the origin of the name. I really don't know, but I will keep on trying. Thanks for answering my message.

Hi, my family live in Scotland, and I havealways been interested in my late mother's maiden name, ESPENER, I can not find out where it originated, I thought perhaps it was Scandanavian, as Espen is a Danish name, but after reading about your Grandmothers name, I'm beginning to think it may be Spanish. The first record I can find is a death of one ALFRED ESPENER in 1874 in Glasgow. It may be easier to trace from your ancestors, to find if any did come to the UK.

My maternal Grandfather was called Samuel Espener, and he died in Glasgow, when he was only20. Ihave traced the family tree back to 1718 in Lincolnshire, England, but I would still like to know the origin of the name Espener.
