Roy,
I have been discussing family tree with my daughter and decided to check one more time trying to find more about her father's family. I believe that your father was a brother to Jay G. Bosley my deceased father-in-law. I believe you are related because Aunt Coy came to see us in the late 50s and early 60s. She came with her older son, I think his name was Aaron but the last name was not Norris, That was the first time and then with her youngest son, Bill Norris the second time she visited. My daughter's father, Paul, and his brother, Roy are both deceased but their sister, Burneil is still alive and well. I will be seeing her next week and this will be a surprise to her as she and my daughter were just talking about the Bosley family and that we all know so little about them. I do remember my mother-in-law, Lillian, telling me that Jay had brothers, Preston, Roy and I believe one named Peter and a sister Coy. One brother lived in Calif and Jay was notified that he died, this may have been in the 60s.
We live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Jay & Lillian lived in the Dakotas, Minnesota, Green Bay, WI and moved to Iron Mountain, MI in 1940. Jay died in 1967 and Lillian died in 1990. Their sons both died, Roy in 1988 and Paul in 1991.
Lillian told me that Jay's mother's last name was McVarner..I think the first name was Laura or something similar to that. I do remember a family picture which I will see if Burneil has it. The family picture was of Jay's parents, some brothers and I believe Coy and Jay, Lillian and their daughter, Burneil and their son, Roy Preston.
I hope to hear from you to see if you can furnish our Bosley family with more information about the family tree.
