Your Granny Nicie was a sister or half-sister to my grandmother Cannie Andes Norris. My grandmother lived in the Beech Mountain area of North Carolina and talked of your Granny frequently. My Grandma Cannie died in the 1980s. I was born in 1949 and remember when your granny's mother died-- 1956, I think. Your Granny Nicie's mother was Jane Andes Trivitte. She was born around 1868. She was a practicing mid-wife in the East Tenn./Western NC area for many years. I talked to a woman recently who said that Grandma Jane Andes delivered one of her children in the mid 1940's Jane (Nicies's mother) was very independent. She rode a horse over the mountain's and I think she was afraid of nothing. There are pictures of Jane and her husban Charlie. I saw a newpaper account that they were buried in the Cherokee Community Cemetery.

Yeah that would be me, and she didn't miss out, she has a very loving and caring "Daddy". Who has taken care of her since birth! Is the other one (with the 14 year old) the Tammy girl? Or as that his new wife? I see I didn't miss out on much! Rodney has 4 that I know of and that's including your daughter. You must be Sonny......Anyway we had a son who is 13...when we were married we were seperated for awhile and he got someone else pregnant, which I recently found out...another son who I think is 14..and with his wife now he has a daughter I think she is 10 but not sure...Like I said I don't talk to him anymore...hes whacko and his wife is alot worse....My husband now has adopted my children ..Rodney gave up his rights so he wouldn't have to pay child support plus he hadn't seen our son in over 10 years.. That's why I said to you good luck.....his wife isn't a fun person and most likely they will deny anything...that's what they did to that other girl.But I am sure he does have to pay for his other son..I think he lost.He did tell me when we first met about you and that you might have been pregnant and that it was most likely his but that's all that got said...never talked about it.....sorry your daughter missed out but believe me she didn't miss much...he wasn't a very nice person...that's why I left him. Anyway like I said before Good luck.

Well thanks Tina, but I don't know how much more I can find, it has taken me 18+ years to get this far. :0) And it was a dead end...thanks for the help you could give. Rodney lives in Webster, Wisconsin.......I have nothing to do with him and haven't for over 10 years.....He is remarried that I know. I don't mean to sound mad but I have nothing to do with him nor do I in the near future. Good Luck with what you find.

Thanks for responding Daniel. I was looking for the owner of the Andes homeplace . Were you ever there in East Tn ? There is so much history there.I guess you know of Nicie's mother Maryann Bunton a midwife for 40 yrs in those mtns. Please send your address. I think I have a picture of Nicie with a couple of her sisters & one of her daughters . I got this from a relative I found in Tn a few yrs ago ..Too much to put on here. I have a picture of the Andes homeplace., it's still standing...A shame to see it go to ruins, oh how I'd love to buy it & fix it up for all family to vacation in ! E mail me crochethook5@hotmail .. Hi...i dont know who that is but i do know that alot of the boso's are from either WV or OH...i am a boso and i live in MN my dad grew up in WV and he had family there as well as Ohio..if you go on here and type in the name boso there is a ann boso of portland ohio....she might beable to help you...my dads name is Arlen and my name is Tina his youngest daughter just tell her i had wrote you on here......her number is on the list of boso;s....i hope it helps you.Ann was married to my dads brother Claire..they called my dad neal most of the time..........i will ask my dad about your dad as well to see if he knew who he was...i will write you again to let you know what i find out.

OBITUARY : GLADYS M. BOSO

Gladys M. Boso, age 90, of Akron, passed away November 29, 2003, at Barberton Citizens Hospital.

She was born April 26, 1913, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Granville and Jennie ( Folk ) Simmons.

Gladys was a member of the Cottage Grove E. C. Church, the Daughters Of America, and the Eastern Star Kenmore 422.

She is survived by her son, Thomas ( Glorene ) Boso of Cuyahoga Falls ; daughter, Donna ( Webb ) Moody of Arizona ; 13 grandchildren - 14 great-grandchildren ; sister, Margurerite Brill of Fairlawn.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7-9 at Newcomerr-Farley Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road., where funeral services will ba held Wednesday at 1 P.M., with Rev. John W. Friedlund officiating.

Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Elnar was born in Wood County on Oct 22,1884. I don't know her parents but she gave birth to twin girls in Jackson County, West Virginia on August 10, 1896. Named the girls Maude and Blanche.Maude Robertson was my husbands grandmother and we are trying to locate ancestors.

What part of West Virginia is your father from? There are also Boso and Bosaw in Indiana (Switzerland County). This is where Jean Boisseaux and Barbara Frick moved and died at.

My mother was Deloris (Boso) Boening. She is one of the daughters of my grandfather Fred Boso and Granny Nicie (Andes) Boso. Grandma died prior to my birth and Grandpa died 2 years after I was born in 1968. Granny lived in E.Tenn. prior to moving to Akron Ohio. I know this because my mother had a half sister name Lona Stout (I called Granny) and they live in Poga Tenn. Granny has passed on, however her daughter Dorothy (Dottie), Margret and son Raymond (may be others I haven't met) still remain. Grandpa and Grandma Boso had my Aunt Esther, Uncle Al, Uncle Ed, and a few others that I never met (Donnie, and Elwood). When I was a kid, we were very close. I miss them all very much.

BOSO/BOZO, Raphael - NY/Canada

The Boso Family also carry Boso-Bosaw or Bosaw as a last name, and some ended up in Indiana. Jean Boisseaux from France is the last name I have b. 1765 d. 1835 and was married to Barbara Frick. If anyone has Information about either one of their parents I would be most appreciative.
