My parents and I have been tracking the Boss line for a few years now. Edward Boss (b. July 29, 1814 in Providence, RI and d. February 27, 1899 in Litchfield, IL) came west with his wife and children. We have traced them through Madison County, Ohio where a son, Henry Warren, married Caroline Dennison on August 30, 1857. Their first child was also born in Madison County, OH on August 11, 1858. They, then, moved on to Litchfield, IL and finally ended up in the Scott County, MO and Alton, IL areas.

Please let me know if any of this sounds familiar. We have been unable to connect Caroline Dennison to any parents in Ohio.
