I am descended from Samuel A Bossard (1807-1882) and Sarah (Flaugh) Bossard (1811-1892) through their daughter, Mary Victoria (Bossard) Clay (1852-1907)

According to my grandmother's notes (Martha Clay Stephenson, 1916- ), Samuel Bossard's parents were John and Catherine (Link) Bossard, who came to Crawford County from Westmoreland County, PA.

I have run across references to Samuel's father's name as Henry John Bossard, which may well be the case.

Scott

Anna Bosard's maternal grandmother was Ann CLINCH Campbell, (1804 - 1872), who was born in Gloucestershire and christened there at Holy Cross Church, in Avening.

Howard.

It's short notice, but you and your half-siblings will be most welcome if you can make it to the Campbell Reunion, to be held in Nelson, PA, Sept. 20, 2003. I don't recall meeting you at any of the Owlett reunions, but hope we can get acquainted. Our Campbells have multiple connections to the Butlers and Gees, as well as the Bosard/Owlett connection.

German families commonly gave "Johann/John" as first name to ALL sons; if so, then middle name was commonly used by family.

Thanks for any info or leads
David Bossert

I figure he would have been born at least in 1752, but may be earlier than that. Also there was a Michael that immagrated to the states but I cant seem to find where he settled. He may be the same Michael as above but I am not sure how to connect the two.
