Well, then, I guess that makes you third cousin to my dad, Gwen's brother, Andrew Verne Owlett. I just got done reading the Campbell Cousins Correspondence, Vol. IV 1926 to my son for a school project. I thought I'd try to find out some more.

I dont know if this will help any but I'm a Bossard from NY. My grandpa, Charlie Alton Bossard, always had the theory that all Bossard's were related.

my lap top died so i cannot immediatelhy call up the in file i have on my great grandfather-- i remember my grandfather married Edna Theodora Bossard and she came from PA altho he was from deKalb Coiunty Georgia. He may have been a traveling saleman at that point. and a sucessful one-- he paid a princely sum to my great gradfater for the marriage, which took place in Telluride in 1907.

I am descended from Samuel A Bossard (1807-1882) and Sarah (Flaugh) Bossard (1811-1892) through their daughter, Mary Victoria (Bossard) Clay (1852-1907)

According to my grandmother's notes (Martha Clay Stephenson, 1916- ), Samuel Bossard's parents were John and Catherine (Link) Bossard, who came to Crawford County from Westmoreland County, PA.

I have run across references to Samuel's father's name as Henry John Bossard, which may well be the case.

My great grandfather was Wesley Rex BOSSARD, born 15 Aug 1875 in Nebraska-- but he married Rosa BEIDLEMANN born 6 September 1896 of PA.

Maybe a relative.

I don't have those 2-- as far as i know-- But my great g'father was (Rev.) Wesley Rex Bossard and i have justt gotten his bible which ha sa lot o marriages in it.I am certain all the Bossards are related-- also bosards and Boussards... etc.

Let me know if this helps oin any way.

His daughter was Edna Theodora Bossard, married Wedward Wilson Price in 1907. Some family on her side was from PA.

Diane Pitts previously mentioned Anna Marie Bosard (1860 - 1934), who was born in Nelson, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Anna Bosard's maternal grandmother was Ann CLINCH Campbell, (1804 - 1872), who was born in Gloucestershire and christened there at Holy Cross Church, in Avening.

Sylvia was my aunt. She married my mother's brother. They lived in Albion, Pa. I last seen Aunt Sylvia when she was living with one of her children on a farm in somewhere near Conneaut Lake, Pa., if I remember right.

I have since been told two things:
1. Yerkes may be a version of Jurgs (Georg)
2. German families commonly gave "Johann/John" as first name to ALL sons; if so, then middle name was commonly used by family.

My maiden name is Bossard. We are from Pennsylvania. I am trying to find out information on the Bossard family. The only information I know is my grandfather was Elmer Bossard who died in 1978 and his wife Mildred Bossard (don't know maiden name) died in 1959. My father doesn't know the names of his grandparents....my father also had a sister named Thelma. Any help is greatly appreciated.

He never married. Died at age 24.

I am looking for information on the family of Andrew Bossard and his son Alvers Bosard. Andrew was baptized as Andreas Bossert in the Christ Hamilton Church near Bossardsville, Monroe Co., PA. He moved to Chemung, NY before 1810 where he was in the 1810 census. He moved to Osceola, then Elkland, Tioga Co., PA in 1813.
