I ordered the micro film at the local Family Learning Center.
After I ordered it, I found it had been downloaded by Genealogical Forum of Oregon which I am a member. Had not looked at GFO as they had moved the last few months and I did not get down there.
Anyway, I looked up everything in the micro film and noted the page numbers and then drove down to OGS and copied the pages I was interested in from the books.
Quite interesting but it stopped at my 4th great grandfathers (Augustus Bosworth 1798-1825) generation.
The book starts with Edward Bosworth 1589-1634.
If you send me a name and what you are looking for I can look it up when I go to the Learning Center this Wednesday.
Yes Glenn was my grandfather, I had heard of Clyde , but no one knows much of him ,My father said he remembers uncle Gordon , and that he was an undertaker , ????, I know very little about the family , as I was estrainged at a young age , and have only had contact with them , about the last 18 years , any info that you could provide would be great ,I tried to find Uncle Gordon in 2006 , but learned he had passed earlier , in Cape May County , I am trying to locate more info on Charles Franklin , But it has been very sketchy , as just tonight , I got a copy of his WW1- Military registration card , . It's great to hear from some one on that side of the family.

Hi,

I know nothing abt the Bosworth family, but ran across a tidbit that I was hoping you could confirm or deny.

A subscriber to ancestry.com lists William M Bosworth marrying a Serena (Serina, Sirena, etc) McLemore in 1863 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama.

I saw a transcription of a loose leaf marriage record and the transcriber's person could be Serena. Think he had her listed as Senna McLernon or something similar to that.

Do you happen to know anything about William's second wife? Do you know where either are buried?

I am a descendant of Serena's brother Calvin thru Wilson McLemore and his first wife, Nicey Hall. Have lost Serena after 1860 census and would love to know this is the same as the wife of William.

Thanks so much!
Mary

Hello, I am looking for information on Frederick Tyler Bosworth from Louisiana. I would like to find information on his lineage, his wife and kids, his parents, or any other info about him. He is my great grandfather and I was named after him but that's all I know. I am connected to him through his son Frederick Arthur Bosworth (Louisiana), and his grandson (my father) Gerald Arthur Bosworth. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

Tyler Manning Bosworth
Baton Rouge, Louisiana

I do see one Augustus Bosworth born 24 Sep 1798 son of Richard and Hannah (Chipman) Bosworth (they had several children) and nothing found after that.
I'm interested in the book if it has my relatives.
William Morseles Bosworth (1859-1940)was my ggrandfather.
His father was Henry Chitten Bosworth (1820-1904) and Henry's father Augustus Bosworth (1797-1825)
I've been looking for the book but would like a CD also if I can find it. I understand there were updates to the book over the years also.
Please share the purchase source for the book with me.
Thank you
Tanya

Re: Almira S Bosworth 1826-1864 New Bedford Mass

Hello,

I'm descended from William Bosworth and Almira (Chadwick) Bosworth from New Bedford, Mass. They are my g-g-g-grandparents. William and Almira's daughter Myra C. Bosworth was married to Emily Viall's younger brother Walter G. Viall.

Almira S. Bosworth's marriage to Shearjashub Viall is listed in the Rhode Island Vital records. The 1860 U.S. Census listed her birth place as Rhode Island. Another record on the LDS website listed her birth place as Warren, RI (no parents names though). But I also see her birth place listed as Rehoboth, Mass. of many of the birth/marriage/death records of her children. I know these towns are right across the state border from each other, but I'm not sure what is accurate at this point.

You can see Familysearch.org (the LDS website)

Coincidentally, the two Almira's with similar names ~ Almira Chadwick Bosworth (b. 1825 in Nantucket, d. 1920 in N.B.) & Almira S. Bosworth Viall born almost the same year ended up being inlaws. They also end up getting confused with each other on some other people's family trees.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I'll keep digging and if I find out something, I'll let you know.

Best of luck in your search. Let me know if you find anything, also.

Janet Bosworth from Dartmouth, Mass.

I did a name search and there were several places that the name showed up in I believe the fifth and sixth generation; however, did not read for context. Are you trying to make up your mind whether to purchase the book? I bought the genealogy, the bulletins and the history of cambridge--all on cd so they are easy to search.

Dear Patrick,

We are related!!! I believe that your William Bosworth is William James Bosworth, Jr. who married Miss Mary Enright sometime around the turn of the century. Unfortunately, I believe he died at a young age. Together they had four sons (Wm., III, Ralph, Robert, and Raymond) and one daughter (Ruth Mary Bosworth Callery). William was the eldest of nine children born to William James Bosworth and Jennie Foster Bosworth. Among his siblings was my great-grandfather, Arthur John Bosworth. I would be happy to share what I know of our family. My e-mail address is jackbosworth@hotmail.com.

Thank you for the response,

Arthur J, Bosworth, IV "Jack"

Hello,

I do see a Huldah Bosworth daughter of Hezekiah Bosworth and Huldah Pierce or Pearce in the Bosworth Genealogy Book here is what it says:

HEZEKIAH BOSWORTH, son of Jabin (David, John, Jonathan, Jonathan, Edward) and Luna (West), b. prob. in Stephentown, Albany Co. (now Rensselaer Co.) N.Y. Mar. 6, 1778; d. at Chester, Meigs Co., Ohio, Oct. 15, 1858, ae. 80 yr. 6 mo.; m. in Whitehall, N.Y., Feb. 1, 1802, HULDAH PEARCE (or Pierce) (parentage not discovered), b. Nov. 20, 1781; d. at Chester, Nov. 29, 1861, ae. 80 y. 9 d. Both are buried m. a cemetery in Bedford, Meigs Co., Ohio.

It does say that Huldah never married. So I guess I would look into records in Ohio.

Does anyone have a copy of the Bosworth Geneology Book by Mary Bosworth Clark? I need just a snippet of information from it, and I don't really want to pay $45.
