Surnames: Sommerfeld/Sommerfield, Bothe, Krugman, Steinhoff, Johle
I wish I did have more. Wilhelmine married Karl Sommerfeld in 1872 Germany. They and their 3 children came to the US into Galveston in 1882. I don't know the name of the ship, because of course, the information was lost in the 1900 Galveston hurricane.
Some information about immigrants into Galveston was not lost, but the period from about 1880 - 1895 or so was lost. Of course.
So I don't know if other family came with Karl and Wilhelmine or not. Very possible though. I continue to search. I haven't found a death cert on her. I know when and where she died, in 1918 during the flu epidemic.
Do you happen to have a picture of your gg-grandmother. I have a couple of Wilhelmine, and wonder if there might be a family resemblance.
