My name is Kristopher Boatman, and I am a direct descendant of Barnhardt Benjamin Bothman. My lineage from him goes like this.
Barhardt had a son named Henry Boatman, who had a son named William Henry Boatman, who had a son named Franklin Henry Boatman, who had a son named Charles Roy Boatman, who had a son named Fred Leroy Boatman, who had a son named Dennis Leroy Boatman, who is my father. My family research as shown that Barnhardt was from the Bishopric of Mentz (Mainz) in Germany. His military records from the Revolutionary War state that he was a servant to a frenchman, and that he jumped ship in Philadelphia, PA, and served in the war. Hope this helps.

My grandfather, Earl Ray Bothman, was born in 1929 and died in 1989. He lived in Maysville, Kentucky. I believe his grandparents came over from Germany in the late 1700's, early 1800's. Do you have any information???

Thanks. Chasity Bothman
