Dear Cindy:

Sorry that it has taken me a while to get back with you.

Thank you so much for the information about your g-grandparents. Since I made my original posting, I had found a bit more info about them, but I am sure that you know even more.

I actually have quite a bit of information about Donalda's family and know her lineage back 7 generations. While reviewing what I have, I discovered that you and I are 6th cousins. I know that seems really distant, but in truth, it is not. Anyway, please feel free to peruse my online tree:

http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&d...

If you have any questions or corrections, I ask that you please contact me.

I also have a few questions for you:

Exactly when and where did your g-grandparents die?

Can you fill in missing birth, marriage, and death info for their kids?

Thanks for your help, Cindy. Hope to hear from you again soon!

Shannon
Mesa AZ

Joseph and Donalda are my great grandparents. They met and were married in Wisconsin (year unknown), i believe it was in Pembine and they did live in Pembine, WI until they both passed.

From what I remember by grandma telling me is that her and all of her siblings (except EllaBelle) were born in the house they were raised. I also remember her showing us kids the house anytime we went through Pembine, however, the house no longer stands today.

Ann was the oldest daughter, she moved to Chicago, IL and resided there till she died. Rosella and Stella lived in Appleton, WI and Ilabelle, who was the last of their children to be born (not EllaBelle), was my grandmother, she married Clyde Mathews Brockington and lived in Iron Mountain, MI (two children Theresa E. Struve (Brockington) and Donald Brockington (died in 2008).

EllaBelle was the still-born daughter born to Joseph and Donalda before my grandmother.

If you have any further information on my great-grandparents origins or family I would greatly appreciate knowing.

Thank you

I know your post was a few years back, however I have information on both Sophie and Peter. Sophie's name was actually Octavia Sophia Young. She was born9-23-1852 and died of Lombar Pneumonia on 1-16-1937. Her mother was Frances DeBeck from Holland and her father was Frank Young from Holland. Her husband was Peter Aloysius Buschard, born 9-8-1840 and died 3-6-1924 of Aortic Insufficiency, whatever that is and contributory factor was senility. They are both buried in Calvary cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. If you are still looking for information on them or need a copy to their death certificates Let Me know.
I'm not sure how to start, but I was told my fathers name is Harold Bouchard. He was from the Bangor area. Fifty one years ago he & my mom had an affair, and here I am, her name was Laura Briggs, Bryer, Pelletier. I do remember him coming to see me every summer but never knew why until 20 years ago when I was told he was my father. I'm sure by now he has passed on, my mom told me many years ago he had had a stroke. I guess I would just like to know if he has passed and if there was any other family. Please email me if you have any information. suzieqjlt@sbcglobal.net

for anyone interested: After my initial postings here regarding Clement and Louise, I travelled to Andilly France and actully held the marriage document in my hands for Clement and Louise. I have digital pics of this document. This document refers to the several relatives who were in attendance at the wedding, including "Andree' Gilbert" mother of the bride and "Marie Guerreau" mother of the groom. My research has found some tentative but unconfirmed evidence of the father of Clement, so i would rather not post this info until i am sure.
the church which they were married in mysteriously lost all records prior to the early 1620's so i also have run into a brick wall but i am in the process of finding other sources of this info and as soon as i discover more i will post what i have
thanks

I now know Harol Bouchard was married to Delcia Dionne, and lived in Ct in 1955 where he lost his family in the flood of 55. He later married Jessie Clark from Old Town Maine. I do not know if there were children from this marriage, or if Jessie is still living. Harold passed away from heart failure in 1982.

hello, the records I have show they were married at Notre-Dame-Des-Anges in Stanbridge on Oct 29, 1866. They moved to the US in 1876 and lived in South Dakota.

Epiphane is listed as Ephraim in US census records; that's why he can be hard to find. Also, Bouchard is spelled Pauchaed sometimes. I am positive that it's the same guy; this Bouchard family in South Dakota had a 14 year old named Joseph in the 1900 census, and Joseph Bouchard listed his age as 25 when he was married in 1911 in South Dakota.

Anyway I would really appreciate any information you may have about the Bouchards. My grandmother, Josephine Bouchard, had a difficult childhood after her mother, Carrie Russell, died in 1920. She moved around a lot among various relatives before marrying my grandfather in Chicago in 1935. As a result, she never talked about her childhood or her family.

ah, vous etes quebecois - je parle francais aussi.

Carrie Russell and Joseph Bouchard were married on Jan 25, 1911 in Yankton, SD. Carrie Russell is very difficult to find information. I did find a 15 year old Carrie Russell in Ohio in the 1900 census. She was living in a orphanage for the veterans of the US Civil War. I am not sure if she is the same person, but the age is about right.

You can find this record under South Dakota Marriages, 1905-1949.

a bientot,

Joe

Mass - NJ Albert-Alfred Bouchard / Rose Fierro

Hello!

My name is Daniel Albert Bouchard and I'm hoping someone out there can help me trace my paternal lineage.

My fathers' name is Albert Louis Bouchard who was born in Paterson on March 20, 1945. He married Gertrude Martalitsch and had 3 children: My brother Andre who was born in 1971, myself who was born in 1974, and my sister Courtney who was born in 1980.

My fathers' fathers name was Albert Bouchard. He wed Rose Fierro and had 2 children, my father and my aunt Marion. After Rose passed away in 1974, my grandfather Albert married Bessie.

Now this is where things start falling apart.

My grandfathers' father's name was Alfred. I am not 100% sure of this but it's the closest I can come.

There is a story in the family that our last name may not actually be Bouchard but could be Sargent or Digagnon. Supposedly, Alfred was on the lam and in order to evade police, changed his name to hide his identity by adopting the name 'Bouchard' he saw on a roofing wagon that passed him by.

Does anyone have any information for me? I would really like to trace my paternal lineage and find out whether my surname is actually Bouchard or not.

Thanks!
Please contact me at: dan@bouchard.com

I see this is an old post but if you're still interested please get in touch. We've always believed out family name was originally Bouchard and that the family came from Chamonix, it sounds like we have a connection.

Dudley Bouchard 1933-2009

Bangor Daily News, Bangor Maine, Monday 30 March 2009
BREWER - Dudley J. Bouchard, 75, husband of Joan (MacDonald) Bouchard, died Friday, March 27, 2009, surrounded by his family at his home, after a 28-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Dudley was born April 7, 1933, in Madawaska, the son of Levite and Emelda (Beland) Bouchard and also his second mother, who raised him from the age of 5, Jeanette Franck Bouchard. Dudley attended schools in Madawaska and St. Agatha Convent. He graduated from St. Francis High School, Biddeford, in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in France as a French interpreter. After serving in the Army and living in California he finally moved to Maine, where he attended Husson College and graduated with a business administration degree in 1960. He was employed by New York Life Incorporated and International Harvester until he became a business owner of some local businesses, which included Broadway Superette, Brewer Variety and Duds Dairy Freeze. Dudley was a landlord to many apartment buildings. He was a very successful businessman because he loved what he did and it showed in the way he treated his employees and customers. Dudley was a long time member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, where he was a past member of the church council and member of Knights of Columbus. Dudley was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1981. His courage was amazing as he battled this disease. His wife, Joan, never left his side. She took care of him every day without hesitation. Dudley had a will to live; he never gave up. He was able to see all three of his daughter's graduations from high school, college, get married and have his wonderful grandchildren. Dudley is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Joan "Dodo" Bouchard; his children, Kathleen Baston and her husband, Todd, of Gray and their children, Shelby, Taylor, Morgan and Mackenzie; a daughter, Michelle Mayo and former husband, Christopher Mayo, of Brewer and their children, Kayla and Natalie; a daughter, Tricia Steiger and her husband, Brent, of Brewer, and their children, Zachary and Olivia. Dudley had many siblings that he adored and remained close to through the years; they were always there for each other; two brothers, Gilman Bouchard and his wife, Maureen, of Lake Havasu, Ariz., and Leslie Bouchard and his wife, Majella, of Brownsville, Texas; two sisters, Terry Merino of Lake Havasu, Ariz., and Yvette Bellrose and her husband, Frank, of Citrus Springs, Fla. Dudley was also very close to his in-laws, Richard MacDonald and his wife, Carolyn, of Bangor and Mary Churchill and husband, William, of Gray, Linda Webb and her husband, Norman "Buddy," of Veazie. Dudley leaves behind many nieces and nephews and special cousins whom he loved dearly. Dudley had many wonderful friends, especially Maggie and Ed Gosselin of Brewer, the Youngblood family of Brewer, and Connie and Norman Rossignol. In addition to his parents, Dudley was predeceased by two brothers-in-law, Gerald MacDonald Jr. and Leo Merino. Dudley was a hard worker and a wonderful husband and father. He had endless energy and loved to be with his girls teaching them to downhill ski or just swimming in the backyard pool. He loved life and projected that to all those around him. He loved traveling with his wife and making special trips to Madawaska to visit family and spending time at his sister's home in Scarborough. There are many memories of Old Orchard Beach that will remain forever in the hearts of this family. A special thank you to the many nurses and home health staff that took care of Dudley throughout the years, especially Pat Eye, Nancy Burgess, Marie Sergie, Gloria Bradford and Melinda Brown. A thank you to Dr. Allan Currie for all your wonderful care throughout the years. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 531 North Main St., Brewer. After the service relatives and friends are invited to share conversation and refreshment at the church hall. Interment will be held in the spring at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer. Those wishing to remember Dudley in a special way may make gifts in his memory to New Hope Hospice, P.O. Box 757, Holden ME 04429, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 531 North Main St., Brewer, ME 04412 or Brewer School Department, in care of the Children's Fund, 49 Capri St, Brewer, ME 04412.
