Frederick Bouck and Elizabeth Mccaffrey appear in the book: The Loyalists in Ontario: The Sons and Daughters of the American Loyalists of Upper Canada. here is exactly what appears in the book:
BOUCK, Frederick of Williamsburgh, m. Elizabeth McCaffrey.
Helena O.C.(Ontario Canada)18 June 1799
Margaret, m. ---- Ault of Williamsburgh. O.C. 17 Mar 1804
John of Williamsburgh. O.C. 17 March 1807
Mary, bapt. 9 March 1795: M. David Doren of Williamsburgh, O.C. 2 September 1818
Susannah, m. John J. Loucks of Williamsburgh, O.C. 2 Sept 1818
David of Madoc, O.C. 3 Sept 1840

This does not state exactly what dates are, but I can only assume that the date for Helena is birth, Margaret, Mary, and Susannah the dates are Marriage, John and David may be death dates. I am decsended from Susannah.

Hi Your post was along time ago but I have the history for Adam Bouck he was in the 1812 war and moved to MI after paying off a debt. Later his daughter Louisa talked to him about the LDS and his son Jon Adam Bouck moved to Salt Lake City and Married Elizabeth Howells in 1849.

I have not ran accross any of my Boucks who left Schoharie for other states or Canada. There are many searchers of Boucks . After i established my Bouck Line i moved on to other surnames in my family many years ago. Interesting you mention Ohio , i helped some one a short while ago with there Boucks . Do you have any idea on Charles A. Bouck born in Springfield Ohio in 1856 who his father was. The family Charles Bouck his wife Cora Harnish and son Harnish moved to California. Charles father was born in Ohio also are they in your line. Thanks Jim

Ok, here we go. On a pedigree chart, John Adam Bouck and Elizabeth Howells gave birth to Alexander Bouck, including 8 more children and Alexander Bouck (my great grandfather married Elizabeth Jones). John Adam Bouck I assume is my great great grandfather who was born in 1797 in Middleburg, Schoharie, NY. Wherever that is. Does that make sense? My great grandfather died o 7-7-1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah. I used to have a copy of his obit but can't find it. I am still looking as I know he was considered a very Morman pioneer. Thanks again.

Hello Anne hope you had a good Easter. You said Elizabeth Howells was Alexanders wife born 10/5/1827 that would make her 33 years older then Alexander meaning she was 65 years old when she had Ruth....Also I found Ruth in the California death index and her mothers madien name is Jones , the 1920 census would support this , she is listed as Elizabeth Jones Bouck 58 years old and Alexander is listed as 58. Where did you get Howell from...Jim

If your dads siblings had children of there own they would be either in California or Missouri , or Salt Lake City maybe. The one son in the census was Robert H. Phillips , The other was Alexander Phillips, Also Alexander Boucks wife is listed in the 1920 census as Elizabeth Jones like many women of that time she used her madien name as her middle name. Do you think a Bouck old enough from S.L.C. in you family would know some thing of Ruth or your father. I will keep my ears to the wall ann if i find some thing ill put it right here...Jim

I have the original address where she lived with her father for a while in SLC, Utah. I have constantly tried to find Mr. Phillips who she meant and married in Missouri. I know that the daughter died when I was looking for her, her son a Mr. King would not answer me. Now one son died early on, and I think his name was Robert. I know there are children out there somewhere related to her sons. I certainly appreciate you looking. She gave birth to my father whose father was listed on the birth certificate as Orville H. Phillips. She released him to Arthur and Gladys Hall of Pocatello, Idaho. My dad's name was Curtis Rogers Hall, but biological was Phillips. That is what I am looking for. If there are any info on his biological father/and or biological mother. Thanks again. Regards, Anne M. Hall Fry

Hi Ann , Ruth had three children , Marie Dubei , Robert H.Phillips and Alexander Phillips. I couldnt find Ruth married to any Schneider . There was a Edmond R. Schneider who was from Orange Co. California i found both of them in the Calif. Death Index , and Edmond in there voter list from 1918 till his death. The Census says Phillips was born in Missouri her second husband and Edmond Schneider was also born in Missouri. Both Phillips children were also born in Missouri. She must have met Schneider there , are you sure she was married to him . Ill keep looking, what cemetery is she in , and have you found any thing of the two other children.. Have a nice day...Jim

There is a long story...I am finding out more and more but I never knew my grandmother, Ruth Bouck Dubei,Phillips, and Schneider. She moved to California to be with her last husband. My father was adopted to Arthur W. Hall in Pocatello, Idaho and he never knew his real birth name until WW11. I began checking 10 years ago, but now he has passed and I am still looking. The story was certainly a secret but I am moving forward to finalize the story. Thank you for any information you may have. I appreciate it. Anne Hall Fry

Let's see if I can answer this. Boy is it detailed. John Adam Bouck, born 1-6-1796 in Fulton or Middle, Berg, Schoharie, New York. His son was Alexander Bouck born 4-6-1861 in SLC, Ut. His wife's name was Elizabeth Howells, born 10-5-1827 in St. Clairs, Carms, South Wales, died 11-11-1905 in SLC, Utah. Alexander and Elizabeth were my great grandparents. Do you see any association with this? Now Alexander and Elizabeth had a daughter named Ruth Bouck. She was married to a Dubei, Phillips, and a Schneider. She was born 11-7-1892 in SLC, Ut. and died 7-21-1968 in Orange, Calif. That's the main info I am looking for. She was my grandmother. Are you and I related in any way? Thank you for sending me a message. I certainly appreciate it. Anne Hall Fry, Idaho

Hi,

At one time or another all of us Bouck's have heard that we are related to the Gov, but most turn out to be false, however we have a common progenitor. I have not seen Sisson, but if you are willing to do some blind looking, build a tree starting with Christian Bouck and Anna Dorothea Kast and follow each of their lines, maybe you will get a lucky hit. Virtually all of the Boucks descend from Christian and Anna Dorothea. They were Palatine Germans who emigrated in 1709 to New York and eventually settled in Schoharie Co, Albany, NY. There are numerous trees on Ancestry that include them.

jim bouck

jimbo174@verizon.net

Johannes (John) Adam Bouck (Bauch) was born Jan. 5, 1797, Schoharie County, New York, the son of ADAM Bouck (Bauch) [born 1772 Schorarie,
New York, died 1841 Washtenaw Co., Michigan] ] who married Sept 14, 1790 Elizabeth Freymauer (Fremeyer). She was born June 19, 1773 in Schoharie, N.Y. and died Feb. 8, 1862 in Washtenaw Co., Michigan (both buried in Pray Cemetery, Superior Twp., Washtenaw Co., Michigan). ADAM Bouck (Bauch) served in the War of 1812 [Company 11 Regiment (Rich's New York Militia) Roll Box 21, Roll Exct. 602]. ADAM Bouck (Bauch)'s father, Johannes Wilhelm Bouck (Bauch) born June 3, 1747 in Schoharie, N.Y., died Dec. 31, 1830 (buried in Schoharie Cemetery) married Margarett Maria Krausler/Kreusler July 15, 1772. All five of Johannes Wilhelm Bouck (Bauch)'s children were born in Schoharie between 1772 and 1782. Johannes Wilhelm Bouck (Bauch) was made 2nd Lieutenant Oct. 20, 1775 of Capt. Jacob Hager's Company of the United Districts of Schoharie and Duanesburgh Regiment of Albany County Militia, served in the Revolutionary War and was was served along with John L. Lawyer (who was in the same regiment and later listed in the 1790 Schoharie census next to Johannis Bauch/Bouck). John L. Lawyer stated that when the "Older" Johannes Bouck moved to Canada, Johannes W. Bouck quit using the middle initial "W" since he was then the only Johannes Bouck in the area. Lawyer also stated that he and Bouck were present at the capture of Henry Hare. This Johannes Wilhelm Bouck (1747-1830) was the son of Johannes Wilhelm Bauch and Anna Elisabet Kreausler and is listed in the Baptism Records of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Schoharie, N.Y. [note: in the same record is listed Adam Bauch born March 25, 1747, son of Christian Bauch and Christina Lise, he is the Adam Bauch who moved to Canada with the Loyalists.] After checking the baptism records it is clear that the Adam Bouck , son of Christian Bauch & Christina Lise, born 1747 who married Sept. 14, 1770 Elizabetha Freymeyer and went to Canada is NOT the same man as Adam Bouck, son of Johannes Wilhelm Bouck & Maria Kreausler who married 1790 Elisabeth Freymauer whose son John Adam Bouck went to Utah. During the Revolutionary War, families in Schoharie were sometimes divided between those who supported the Revolution and those who were loyal to England.
The surnames Bauch/Bouck and the many spelling variations of Freymeyer in Schoharie, New York records is confusing until the actual church baptism records are checked with the various lines of descent from Christian Bauch. John Adam Bouck of Utah was the son of Adam Bouck who served in the War of 1812 and grandson of Johannes Wilhelm Bouck who served in Capt. Jacob Hager's Co. in the Revolutionary War. John Adam Bouck's sister Catherine Bouck married James Herron, a descendant noted that she was "a descendant of one of the early Revolutionary Patriots, the grandson of one whom was among the first to blaze a trail down the Mohawk Valley and settle along the Schoharie River, Pioneer of New York Valley". Catherine (Bouck) Herron, the sister of John Adam Bouck and the mother of Orlando Fisher Herron, died of cholera in the fall of 1847. She had moved from Washtenau Co. Michigan to Hancock Co., Illinois in the spring of 1841, then to Nauvoo in 1846, then to Iowa. Her youngest child, Daniel Herron born August 1846 Carthage, Illinois, died along with her and her husband in 1847 in Lee Co. Iowa. Her son Orlando Fisher Herron came to Utah with the Lewis Robinson family. His uncle, John Adam Bouck, his first wife Euphemia (Dibble) Bouck and their daughter Eliza Abigail (Bouck) Gibbs and her husband, Gideon H. C. Gibbs, arrived in the Salt Lake valley Sept. 26, 1847 with the John Taylor Company. John Adam Bouck, the grandson of Revolutionary War Patriot Johannes Wilhelm Bauch/Bouck, died Dec. 10, 1882, Salt Lake City, Utah.
I have an old journal of my gr.grandmother, from 1883, in it there is a post "grandpa Bouck died, march 13, 1883." My gr.grandmother was Metta Doneburg/Pitcher, her husband was Franklin Pitcher. They lived in No.Blenhime, Schoharie County, New York. Her parents were William Doneburg and Cathrine Bartholomew/Doneburg. Frank's parents were Joseph L. Pitcher and Maria Hannay/Pitcher. Does anyone know the connection ? Any help would be great. I am also at a dead-end on the Pitcher line. The line ends at Horas Pitcher father of Joseph L. Pitcher, Joseph was born in 1822. Any info would be great, Thank You.
Re: Elizabeth Bouck wife of Peter Pruner/Brunner II

Hi there, I think that Peter II was my GGGGG Grandfather. His youngest son William Silas is my GGGG Grandfather. I have a few genealogy papers on my family but I'm not sure of their accuracy. My papers say that Peter married Elizabeth but that she may have been previously married to an Adam Williams Born 1787 in Schoharie NY.

Mary Ann Munro was my grandfather's sister : I have some information if you wish, and you might also look at the ancestry of Ted and Opal Thompson posted on Rootsweb. I don't know what you wish to know -- just ask.
WMunro

Bernhard (Barney) Bouck 17 Sep 1801 New York Ancestors

I search for verification of this ancestor's parents. I find family trees that show his father is Jacob Bauck, with a birth date of 1857 or 1862. Others suggest that Barney's father is John Bouck dob 1775. All trees say the same wife, Maria France (Frantz??) and the same children. Could there be two husbands for Maria?

Assistance is appreciated.
