Hello Everyone:
I recently became interested in my roots although I am finding it difficult to get passed my immediate family. My grandmother, Opal Boudreau (still living) born Dec. 10, 1918 has been trying to fill me in but is very vague in details. It would be wonderful if someone out there could help add to what I have already been told. I did several searches but have come up empty handed, probably because very few dates. This is what I know:
Opal Boudreau b. Dec. 10, 1981. She is the daughter of Wilfred Boudreau and Eva Poirier. Her husband, Richard Boudreau b. 1910 d. 1961. He is buried on an Indian Reservation. He is the son of Florence Boudreau and Fred Boudreau. My grandmother tells me that they lived out in the woods next to an Indian reservation, and that they were close to a bridge that brought them to New Brunswick. She (Opal Boudreau) mentions Restigouche and Campbelton. I would so love to know more if anyone has any stories to tell or leads to carry me along.
Also can anyone explain that Boudreau's married Boudreau's? My grandmother tells me that it was quite common.
Thanks so much to anyone who will take the time to respond.
