Gary Boughner's father is my husband's first cousin. This branch of the Boughner family are from Canada, decended from Loyalists (those who were loyal to the British King during the American Revolution). The family has been back and forth between Ontario and Michigan a couple of times. There are still cousins in Canada, but this branch of Boughners are now in Michigan. And yes, Boughner's are of German ancestry. I have heard that the name was really Buchner, and somehow it got changed. What town are you in?
