Hi Tara,
My name is Rene. I am Linda's sister, who posted on here. As she said, your grandfather Arthur J. Bougie was our uncle (our mother's brother). I also remember your father Andre (my cousin). He lived in Tucson the same time we did, and saw each other on several occasions. I'm sure I have pictures and especially home movies of Andre and of course Uncle Arthur and Aunt Toni, that I'd be willing to share with you, too. It would be great to hear from you. You can reach me at Noorah101@aol.com.

Arthur J. Bougie Sr. ( your grandfather) was my uncle on my mother's side. Her name was Lillian Louise Bougie Nicholas. I knew Andre' a little when I was growing up. Last I knew he worked at the Veterens Hospital in Tucson, Arizona. I guess that would make us some kind of cousin! Please feel free to e-mail me, I have pictures I am willing to share of your grandparents. Try Tucson search for Andre'.

Linda

I am looking up my ancestory to see where I am from. My grandfathers name, who passed in 1997, is Arthur J. Bougie. He married a woman named Antoinette (Toni) Poirier, she passed in 2004. They both produced a son Arthur J. Bougie, Jr., who passed in 2004 as well. Antoinette had a son from a previous marriage, Andre' Bougie, who is my biological father, I have not seen in over 26 years. I am just trying to reach out to anyone who is related and get to know who I am and where my family came from.....

Thank you.
It seems that you and I may have the same GGgrandfather: He was married to Angelique Drouillet (Brouillette). So far, I could only find one of his children; Louis Menard Bougie. If this Charles Bouchee (strange spelling) is part of the family, can finally add another name to the list. Pierre Bougie (Baugis) had 7 children

Muriel Bougie

After looking all over, this is the first time I can finally find his date of birth. Aside from his spouse's name and their marriage date, I cannot find to much.
Would you have the names of the children, or Pierre's date of death (or his spouse).
If there is any information I can help you with, let me know.

Hello, my I noticed in this thread that there wasn't much detail on Joseph Bougie...My grandfather Ovila Bougie was born in 1900, died in 1980. His Fathers name was Joseph and the time frame could be about right although your Joseph would have been about 40 ??? (I was 41 when I had my first child). Ovila was from St. Elizabeth de Warwicke before he came to Maine. Any Information would be extremely helpful.

Thanks,
Chas.

Hello, my Grandfather was Ovila Bougie. He died in Sanford Maine in 1980. He was born 23 May 1900. He was married to Eva (Bougie) Roulleau who was born 13 May 1902 and died 9 Sep 1988. Both came from Canada. Ovila was from St. Elizabeth de Warwicke and Eva was from St. Fortinau (?)

I would like to begin a project to trace my ancestry and it looks like a fair amount of work has already been done.

Maybe you could point me in the right direction.
Thank-you, Chas.

Am searching for info on Amanda Bougie who married Napoleon Faubert in Iron River, Michigan, USA. The met in Tupper Lake, New York State. She died Good Friday 1937 and is buried in Valleyfield, PQ. Amanda had a brother, Ame, who married a girl by the name of Rosalinda, and she also had a sister named Denise. The picture of Denise is of an older woman, maybe an aunt, but my mother-in-law said it was her mother's sister.
I am tracing my husbands family and his grandmother was Amanda Bougie born in Valleyfield, PQ. In your travels searching, have you ever run across this name. Amanda married Napoleon Faubert in Iron River, Michigan, USA, date ?Amanda had a brother named Ame who married a girl by the name of Rosalinda and Amanda also had a sister, I believe, by the name of Denise. The picture I have of Denise, she is quite old and looks like she could be an aunt but my husbands mother told me before she died that it was her mothers sister. Amanda is buried in Valleyfield and I am checking into the graveyard with my brother-in-law. If you have any info on Amanda, I would appreciate hearing from you.
Thank you
Carolyn Hodge em- carolynhodge@hfx.eastlink.ca
I have never heard of Oliver, but I don't know much about these relatives. My GGGrandfather, I have heard, was Pierre N. Bougie, however his son was Napoleon Charles BOUCHEE, b. 1827. The family lived in Beauharnois, moved to Montana, around 1880. It would seem that in those days Beauharnois was a pretty small town. There could be a relationship. Please let me know if you find anything.
