Alanis Bourg was born in France. His wife was Francoise Dalmare. When his daughter, Francoise, married Pierre Ferrand in 1847, her tutor stood in as the proxy in lieu of her parents, who were either dead or in France at the time. Pierre Ferrand was born in Siurae in the Gironde District (I am not sure if these are spelled correctly). They lived in the St. John the Baptist Parish of Louisiana and then in Rapides Parish.
