Paul, I have a wood carving of Andre's which is a bust profile of Will Rogers. On the bottom of the frame is carved "made by order in Can by Bourgault. I am trying to determine who ordered this work and if anyone in Andre's family might recall a story related to Andre & Will Rogers and this art work. I've had it appraised by a Canadian dealer but would love to find more information as to why it was commissioned and a finer time frame of when it was done. Happy to have made contact with a family member, my appraiser in Canada mentioned he knew members of the Bourgault family but I'm afraid he was in poor health the last we communicated and was not able to make a trip that might have brought me more information. Anything you can add to how this carving came about would be wonderful. Thank you.

the bourgault family of st jean port jolie, pq canda were/are award winning wood carvers in the early 20th century (according to my father Wilfred) I was there in the early 1970's and there were still bourgaults who were selling carvings to tourists.your carvings may be from them. Accordng to my dad, my gf was born there, emegrated to new hampshire, and ended up in pawtucket, ri where my dad was born. he had two older brothers two older sisters and one younger brother. none of my family became carvers.

EDWARD E. BOURGAULT Ed was born on July 7, 1924 in Newton, Massachusetts. He went to the Lord on October 29, 2007. He fought a valiant fight against the ravages of Alzheimer's disease, but God felt he had suffered enough and took him home. Ed served in WWII and the Korean War, and worked for Pacific Bell for over 35 years. Ed will be remembered for his love of life. He enjoyed traveling in his various RV's, and spent many vacations at Lake Tahoe enjoyed friends and most of all his beloved dogs. He is survived by his wife, Ursula of 51 years; children, Suzanne, Ron and Valerie; grandchildren, Kyle and Rachel; son-in-law, Rick; step-grandchildren, Eric and Danielle; Mare and step-granddaughter, Addy. I am looking for Antoine Bourgeau/Bourgault who was born at Maskinonge in 1835. He was in the Aylmer, QC (near Ottawa) in the 1860ies. I have a reference to him from a Wisconsin obituary in 1911. Antoine was married to Adele Aubry in 1859 at Renfrew, Ontario. He is very possibly in the Ottawa, Renfrew, Aylmer Duex Rivieres area after 1870. He is a brother of my ancestor August Bourgo.

I am a descendant of Quentin Bourgeault(direct line to my father). As far as I can dicover, Bourgeault and Bourgault are two different lines. Bourgeault was written Bourgeot, Bourgeau some times but usualy because of a mistake. If you are still interested, please email me. I aam happy to share.

Hi my name is Victoria Bouragault, recently married to Kevin Bourgault I am looking for any info on the Bourgault name, his grandfather we believe came over from France to England-Somerset I would imagine around the late 1920's early 1930's he would have had an affair with Kev's grandmother which resulted in Kev's father David Bourgault the couple never married but for some reason the Bourgault name was taken and it is possible that they had another child together before he went back to France or possibly even elsewhere, the Grandmothers name is Gladys

The 1920 US Census has John B. Bourgault, his wife Albina, their son Joseph E. and his wife Lenore living on East 19th in Cleveland, OH. Lenore Bourgault died 20Nov1920.

The 1930 US Census has Joseph Bourgault and his 2nd wife Julia and their daughter, my mother Constance living on Euclid Avenue in Euclid Village, OH.

All of the dates and locations you have given match the census info so I guess that makes us 2nd cousins.

Having been given up for adoption shortly after birth the search for my biological relatives has been quite something and rather exciting. Although I now know more about my grandfather I still do not know what happened to him. Does anyone? I can provide further descendancy information if you like.

LACONIA-Lucille B. Bourgault, 85, formerly of Union Avenue, died Saturday at the St. Francis Home. She was born in Laconia, the daughter of Edmond and Roseanne (Landry) Bourgault, and lived there her entire life. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Parish. She was a member of the Ladies of Sacred Heart since 1971. In addition, she was a member of the Golden Age Club and the Sunrise Arts & Crafts Club. She was the sole surviving member of a family of seven children. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave., on Wednesday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Adrien Longchamps will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Francis Patient Care Fund, 406 Court St., Laconia, 03246. Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home in Laconia is in charge of arrangements.

My father's name is also Ronald Bourgault born around 1942. Not sure exactly when, but I could find out. I am one of four children from my mother who he was married to for 25 years. I can believe that he would have other children. How old are you and what else do you know of him. Me- not much. I believe his father's name was edward and mother's name was pearl. BELMONT-Henry J. Bourgault, 82, of Granite Ridge, died Jan. 8 at his winter home in Mesa, Ariz. He was born in Laconia, the son of Lorenzo and Albertine (Parent) Bourgault. He lived in Laconia for most of his life and wintered in Arizona for 22 years. Bourgault served as an interperter for French Air Force personnel being trained as aircraft mechanics in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked as a sales representative for New Hampshire Distributors, retiring after 32 years in 1980. He worked as a scorekeeper for San Francisco Giants spring training games for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Katherine (Hidden) Bourgault; two sons, Pual Bourgault and Thomas Bourgault, both of Eugene, Ore.; a daughter, Nancy Golden of Laconia; a brother, Leopold Bourgault of Alton Bay; a sister, Rita Plourde of Laconia; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass will be held in the spring in Sacred Heart Church. Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, Laconia, is in charge of the arrangements.
