SOUTHINGTON -- Ida M. Pichette, 85, of 849 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, Plantsville section, died Sunday at Bradley Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Raymond Pichette Sr.
Mrs. Pichette was born Oct 27, 1919, in Cap-de-Madeline, Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Ovila and Rita (Lord) Bournival. She worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Southington for 20 years, until retirement. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church and a member of the Calendar House, the YMCA Seniors, and the Daughters of St. Anne's. Her hobbies included horseracing, dancing, cooking, knitting, swimming and bingo.
She leaves two sons, Maurice Pichette of Southington and Raymond Pichette of New York; a daughter, Pauline Garcia of Kansas; three brothers, Bruno Bournival, Fernand Bournival, and Leo Bournival, all of Waterbury; two sisters, Cecile Dussault of New Hampshire and Julie Hebert of Waterbury; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and her longtime companion, Joseph Siton. Two sons, George and Kenneth Pichette; two daughters, Elaine Politz and Denise Pichette, and a brothers, Gilles Bournival, are deceased.
Arrangements: Funeral 9:15 a.m. Thursday from the DellaVecchia Funeral home, 211 North Main St., to St. Thomas Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
