Mary Anne Bourret b 1820 Quebec m Andrew Edney b 1817 England d 14 Apr 1879 buried Mt Herndon Cemetery married 1888. I have a lot of info on the Edney line but nothing on the Bourret's. Children: George M. 1853-1874; Elizabeth Jane b 1857 m a Clagney; Thomas A. b June 1860 d 12/11/1940 VT; John E 1864-1911. I have marriage certificate 7/12/1852. Any info appreciated.

TOWN OF CLIFTON

BENJAMIN BOURRET, Sec. 26; P. O. Livingston; was born in Iowa Co., Wis., Dec. 26, 1846; left there with his parents when 6 years of age, and came to town of Clifton and settled on the farm where he now lives; has lived there ever since except the year 1877, when he lived at Belmont and kept the United States Hotel; his father died at home June 22, 1868, and was buried at Platteville, in the old cemetery; his mother was born July 26, 1814, and had thirteen children, of whom nine are living - Mary S., Frances, Peter, Benjamin, Michael, Josephine, Eli, John L., Henry; the names of those deceased are Matilda, Lewis, Aurilla and Joseph. Benjamin took charge of the farm after his father died, and now owns half of 160 acres. Was married, June 6, 1876, to Martha J. Powers, in Shullsburg, Wis.; have two children - Addie May and Eugene. Benjamin is a member of the I. O. O. F., Washburn Lodge, No. 228, and has passed through all the offices in the lodge.

Have not run into a Charles yet - perhaps William's brother? Do you have any information on the Benton family?

I am trying to trace my family roots. The spelling "Bourett" seems to be much less common than many others. I have traced some of these to a Joseph Bourett who was born in 1831and emigrated from Canada around 1870, traveling through Vermont and finally settling in Worcester County Massachusetts by 1873. Any information before or beyond this time would be appreciated.

Bouret/Bourret, France to Quebec?

Wondering if anyone has any information on a Marie BOURET supposedly born in France and married to Andrew Edney of England. The were married near Stoneham, Quebec. Marie had at least 1 child, Elizabeth Edney, b.3/27/1857.

Does this ring a bell with anyone?

My grandparents were born in Lowell, MA, USA. Elisabeth Bourret was married to Hilaire Charron Ducharme (don't know where). Hilaire's parents were married in Berthier County, Quebec.Hilaire' second marriage was at St. Elisabeth's in Joliette County, but I can't find the 1st marriage to Elisabeth Bourret, so I am having trouble finding her parents.
PS Hilaire's parents were married in 1795 and Hilaire's second marriage was in 1840.

SD birth records (RootsWeb) show a Walter Bourret born 09/06/1890, father is John Lewis Bourret & mother is Janet Eva Clarke. Has sister, Alice, brother, Frank. This is in Davison (city or county?) SD. No other info..
