Does anyone have info on Benjamin or Benoni Bowsman/Bousman b.abt1800. His wife was Margaret Keever.
They were married 1823 in Butler Co. OH....He is the father of Joseph b1823, Henry Keever b.1826, and John Bousman b.1829.
These 3 sons were born in Ohio (Warren or Butler Co)
The family lived in Wayne Co 1830 Census and Henry Co 1840-70 Census.......this is my Brickwall... I have searched for this answer for 2 years....I am out of ideas

Well, in the years since I posted this, I've learned that Madison's death certificate was definitely wrong. He did have an aunt named Elizabeth (Harris) Parr but his mother was Eliza Harris and his father was William Bozman, who went to California in search of gold and apparently died there. Eliza Harris married James Fairley after the death of William Bozman. This family is from the Licking and Perry Co. area, Ohio.

Hello, My name is Rosemary Bousman, and my husband's Grandfather was Wesley Bousman, he is buried in Clinton Memorial Cemetary in Clinton, Iowa. Perhaps you could research the Clinton Herald Obiturary, or the cemetary, and find out his family roots, I know they were origolally from the Indiana area. Hope this helps.

I'm going to post what I've found through my searches to date, if anyone can add any info or amplifying data, that'd be great, because I'm thinking I'm coming to the end of what I can research via the internet. OK, here goes.
Starting from my grandfather:

William Wayne Bousman was born in 1931 to Leslie Bousman and Olga Thorn in Michigan.
Leslie Bousman was born in 1896 to William Francis Bousman and Harriet "Hatter" Garrow in Hanover Illinois.
William Francis Bousman was "most likely" born in 1874 to George Bousman and Jain Lester in Iowa.
George was born circa 1844 in Virginia, and that's as far as I've gotten.

If there's anyone who can help me fill in the gaps, I'd be forever grateful.

My father was Henry Morton Bousman, his father was Tip Zebadee Bousman, he married Bertha Davis. Tips father was Henry Bousman. My father married Francis Hutcherson which was my mother. I have two sister, Ruby Jean Bousman, Barbara Bousman Anderson, and Billy M.Bousman and Henry Kenneth Bousman. My father had 4 brothers, Carlton, Price, Walter and Dolphus and 1 sister Lydia Bousman Helms. Carlton lives in Henry VA. The rest of us live in Henry County VA.

Henry was one of 3 brothers (Henry, John, Joseph). Their parents were Benjamin Benonia Bousman and Margaret Peggy Keever. Henry married Katherine Fitch in 1851 and they had a son Benjamin Keever Bousman(b1856 Henry Co IN) I don't know what happened to Henry after 1856?

Hello, I'm trying to find some information on my grandfather's family. He was William Wayne Bousman (born 1931), Father was Leslie William Bousman(born 1896, Hanover, Il), Mother was Olga (LNU, born to swedish immigrants circa 1892), he had two sisters, one was Helen J (called Jenny by the family) and the other was Peggy Arlene. Leslie had one sister named Leona, his parents were Wille Bousman (possibly William Francis), and his mother was Hattie (Probably Garrow). Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi There, At the moment I do not have much info. But my great-great grandfather was the young Joseph Bousman. He had a son named William Q. Bousman, who had a son named Edward Bousman, who had a daughter named Linda Bousman, who had me, Sarah Bousman.

Does anyone know anything about the CLAUDE BOUSMAN, JR, that married DOROTHY HENRY in 1933 in Jackson Co, MO? I have an interest in Dorothy. I have found they owned property in Kansas City. He died 1962 and she died 1995 according to info I have found in records. I appreciate any info.

Hello! My great grandpa, Dayton Bousman, was born approx. 1885. My great grandma that Dayton married was born in Randolph Co., IN. I would assume since my grandmother's family is still in Randolph Co., IN. that this is the area that Dayton was also born in.

I know this is a little late in coming. I'm actually helping a friend, with the maiden name bousman, to locate her genealogy. She is through the Claude Daniel line as well. Looking for Info on a George W. Bousman born in Franklin County in 1843. Migrated to Iowa with his parents when 3 years old, settling in Marion, Linn County, Iowa. His father died in route to Iowa. Do you have a list of Bousman's in Franklin during 1840.

I believe that we are related. George Bousman is from my mother's side. George Bousman is my great great grandfather. His daughter Jessie married a Miller and had my grandmother Catherine Miller Grubbs of Pennsylvania.She had my mother Jacqueline Grubbs McFerron and we live in Columbus Ohio. George Bousman's father was born in Baden-Baden Germany and his name was Jacob Bousman. He married an english woman named Lydia Beggs(?) and moved to the US.Jacob loved the US so much he named his son George Washington Bousman. George married Mary Ann Wall , they lived in or around Stafford Kansas. George fought in the Civil war and lost his leg in Winchester VA. I can give you more info, but I have to dig out my files. Bousmans of Logan and Champaign County, Ohio

John Bousman/Bouseman was born probably 1770's? He was in Ohio by the early 1800's and was married to the widow Rebecca Stilley McGill sometime between 1805 and 1809. They lived in Champaign and Logan Counties, Ohio. John had the following children: Maxamillia (married William Riddle), William, Maria (married Thomas Hall), Barbara (married William Pullin), John, Eleanor, Nicodemus, and Sarah. John died in 1822 in Logan County, Ohio, his widow on one source is supposed to have died in Jennings County, Indiana? His daughter Barbara moved to Indiana. Daughter Maxamillia moved first to Illinois and then to Oregon.

I am trying to find a connection between John and other Bousmans. There was a Nicodemus Bousman who married Ersy/Amy Reed in 1812 in Champaign County, had at least one daughter: Elizabeth. He died after 1830. Sarah Bousman married Abner Tharp and later moved to Michigan. Ellender Bousman married Joel Thomas and died circa 1811 in Champaign County.

Were Sarah, Nicodemus and Ellendor listed above siblings of my John Bouseman? Or were they his children by a marriage prior to Rebecca McGill?

Looking for information on Peter Bousman listed in the 1790 Albany Co. NY census. He is listed as living in Stillwater. He may be the father of Elizabeth Bousman who married Philip Ingersoll in 1772. They were also living in Stillwater at this time.

Peter Dager & Mary Bousman (widow of Henry Zollman) had 6 children. I am looking for photos, if any exist, of these kids.
Think all were born in Botetourt Co., Virginia. They are:
John Dagger (1795-1871) married to Elizabeth Bousman He died in Ohio
Mary Magdelena Dagger (1796-@1835) married Thomas Pogue/Poague. Think they remained in Virginia
Charles B. Dagger (1803-1837) married Mary Waskey
James Dagger (1805-1877) married Margaret Waskey
Madison Dagger (1809-1907)
Phoebe Dagger (1811-1880) married James W. McClure
The last four children all came into Fountain County, Indiana. I am a descendant of Phoebe.

Philip Bousman- Joseph Bousman

Philip was born in 1772 or there abouts in Pa. He was married to Amaretta (Amant) Stratton and lived with her in the Kanawha County, WV (va)... He passed away prior to the 1860 census for same county. Their children were Sarah Ann, Joseph Henry, John Archibald, and Mecca (Mechy). Sarah married William B. Buster, child Mary; Joseph married Anna Mary Montanye, children Philip, Louis, Mary E., Mary V., Joseph, Georgia, Virginia (Kennie); Mecca married Aaron S. Trimble, children Elizabeth, James, Amret, Nancy, Oscar, William, and Annie. I have located all of the above on census reports. Anna Mary Montanye is the sister of Gertrude Montanye. I have not located their parents as of this date. I would love to hear from anyone who may have found Joseph and Anna on 1870 census. They died in Indian territory prior to 1880. Hi All,

I'm looking for information on Rebecca Boussum. She was married to Jacob Fry (or Frey) b. 1805. Rebecca was Jacob's third wife. His first wife produced a son Henry b. 1835, d.1927. Jacob's second wife was Rebecca's sister Catherine. Their kid's included Caroline b.1837, Cahterine b.1838, Lewis b.1840, Mahlon b.1843, Margaret Ann b.1845, Samuel b.1848 and Elizabeth Ann b.1850. Catherine died and Jacob married her sister Rebecca. Jacob and Rebecca had Ella b. 1860, J. Grant b.1866, Hanna, b.1868 and John b. 1870.

Once again, any information on Rebecca Boussum would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I think we shared some information earlier on Louis. You might like to know I have tracked down information on his birth and parents and have a full account of his life in manuscript as part of a book nearing completion detailing the history of Tascosa, Texas. Mrs. Helen BOUSMAN, 60 years old, wife of W. P. BOUSMAN,
a pioneer of Johnson County, died yesterday at her home, two
miles southwest of Shawnee, Kas. Ten children survive. The
funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at
the Methodist Church in Shawnee. Burial will be in Shawnee
Cemetery.

I think I just found the "mother-lode" of websites relating to Miami County, OH, & the Bousmans who lived there. It's called the "Miami County, Ohio Genealogical Researchers," sponsored by the TROY HISTORICAL SOCIETY. Perhaps some of you already know about this website, but I just discovered it. It has all kinds of "Bousman" info on it.

I'm a descendant of Georgia Davis Bousman (my grandmother)married a
Gourley, who currently still lives in Franklin County, VA. Her father was
Robert Giles Bousman. His father was William Lafayette Bousman. His father was
Henry E. "Harry" Bousman and his father was H.E. ? Bousman.

This is as far back as I know. I'm just beginning research on these lines. If
you could assist me or if I can assist you anymore, please let me know.
