Isadore Bousquet (1835-1901)

He went by "Isadore Bushnoe". Born in Canada, family moved to St. Lawrence County, NY and eventually to Chateaugay, NY in late 1860's. Married Arminda Emlaw and had 13 children.

Served in the 14th NY Heavy Artillery during the Civil War. Is listed as "Isadore Buscaire" in military records.

Have material to share...anyone working on this family?

I am looking for any info on Jean Bousquet 1826-1917/wife Hermine Goderre born 1836. They lived at Roxton Pond, Quebec. We are trying to trace back to France, We know that Hermine was the daughter of Antoine Goderre De Lucaillade? and fathers last name was Hogue(Parents left France around 1790 and died on ship but the 4 children were adopted in Canada).
Jean Baptiste Bousquet's father had the same name and mother was Emilie Daigle.

François Xavier Bousquet was born and baptised on 24 October 1810 in Parish Ste-Anne, Varennes, Quebec. He died 10 March 1882 at Parish St-Antoine de Pades, Longueuil, Quebec and had a second marriage to Hedwidge Lamarre in 1858.

I only found this information through the childrens Marriage records. It appears Henriette may have died in 1857 a yearafter Zoe's marriage. They were in the area of St Antoine De Logueuil. Kiani, I am sorry I haven't replied before this. My life has been kind of up in the air, so to speak! I was in Milwaukee, Wi. for 3 years, then moved back to Arizona last yr. My mother has Alheimers Disease and is now living with me in Bullhead City, AZ. Yes, it looks like we are related. I never knew Frenchy, but I think I remember meeting him one time when I was about 10yrs old. I wrote to him after I was grown. In about 1984 or 85 I believe. He wrote back and said he didn't think I was his, that someone else was my father. I contacted that man and he came to see me. He said I looked like too much like Frenchy to be anyone else's daughter!! Then in 2000, I found my half sister, Aurille Gene. Frenchy's oldest daughter. We met in 2001 and she confirmed that I had to be his daughter. My younger pictures look alot like Frenchy's mom. I would have loved to have known her. I was raised in Western Colorado and in the desert near Death Valley, Ca. My dad, Jimmy Rose, who adopted me, was a hard rock miner, so we moved often. I graduated high school in Shoshone, Ca., in 1972. I got married, had 2 kids, and now have 6 grandchildren. I would love to communicate with you and your dad. My phone # is: 928-897-9497. Researching my grandmother's side of the family. I will have more information tomorrow but here is what i have so far.

Her given name was Marie Therese but she goes by Theresa. She was born in Lowell, MA and when she was a teenager they moved to Salem NH for a while. I always thought her parents were born in St John New Brunswick.

She had several brothers/sisters, including: Yvonne, Alfred, Francis, Bella (?? Isabelle??), I think Eugene...

Most of her siblings ended up in the Springfield, MA area and I believe she is the last one living. I have never met any of her siblings.

I spoke with my mom this morning and she seems to think that Mary Rossi lived in Leroy,NY where Mary's nephew Frederick Ploof lived.

I am trying to locate my great great grandmother's maiden name.For a while I searching for the last name of Ruston.I recently received information that states that Sarah Ann Ploof may have been a Preston,daughter of Lewis & Mary Preston of Fair Haven,Vermont.Sarah Ann Preston was born in Fair Haven,Vermont in 1834.My great great grandmother was supposeably been born in 1839 in Charlotte,Vermont.The 4 maybe mistaken for a 9.

Mary Hattie King married Dominic Rossi. They are supposed to be buried in Scotsville NY - have not verified this. She apparently remarried after D. Rossi died abt. 1943.

it seems your related to me. my name is kiani Bousquet.
Frenchy was my great grandfather, my father was raised by him. He was a great man and did Great things in his life and sacraficed everything for the family.
My father has heard the name by his grandfather but had no way to contact you. my father and i are writing this together in hopes we can talk in the future.
Angie bousquet my great grandmother passed away in 1997.
i only knew her for a little while but the moments i had with her we became best friends she had wonderfully red hair, we have a great photo journal of our family, starting with Frederick form childhood All through his life; he traveled through out the world. He worked on the drill rigs and served heroicly through world war II we have photos of all this, I and my family Live in Hawaii, i have two brothers, Thaddeous, and Xzavaier 7 and 10 years old.
I am 14 the eldest. Renee & Rebecca Bousquet are my parents.
my grandpa Frenchy as we called him, often talked about you and your mother, and it was something very diffecult for him. my father searched the estate when my grandpa passed away to look for a way to contact you. but we just found your name in letters but no address and nowhere to begin the search.
